Background:
Groupm NZ is looking to create a specialized investment division within the organization that works seemlesly with the other specialist verticals. The primary responsibility of the unit is to be accountable for every dollar spent by every customer across all media channels from implementational planning and execution through ensuring correct billing and media owner payment.
The Investment Specialist works to the Investment Manager in specific customer allocated units, The aim of each unit is to create immediate to long term investment strategies and tactics that provide groupm’s customers market leading, highest value solutions and innovations to drive their expected outcomes. The investment performances are then reported back to customers in terms of consumer delivery, holistically and by channel, and most importantly how they drove customer outcomes to constantly refine and optimize future customer investment decisions
Whilst each team is responsible for the development and accountability of its personnel, working in an entrepreneurial culture also means it is also up to the individual to take responsibility for their own development
Every member of the investment team will be perpetually supported in all aspects of their career development in terms of training and coaching, individually and collectively
Key purpose of the Investment Specialist
To support the Investment Manager and Client Service Teams to deliver gold standard implementation and trading practices.  To build trusted and influential relationships with clients, media, and agency partners. To deliver best practice client service, innovation and market leading work across both offline and digital media.  This role is responsible for efficient and correct administration procedures.  
  • LEADERSHIP
Demonstrating and developing leaderships skills which enable seamless project workflow.
  • MEDIA KNOWLEDGE
Good knowledge of channel implementation and an up-to-date picture of media properties / vehicles in market. Capable of talking to clients and agency counterparts about their activity in market and provide a point of view on media trends and market dynamics.
  • MASTER NEGOTIATOR
Some understanding of the macro trends in the marketplace with regards to revenue, supply, innovation, and development.  Highly numerate with developing negotiation skills.
  • FIRST CLASS IMPLEMENTATION
Developing a keen eye for effective work and how to deliver it. Able to deliver well thought out and insightful recommendations working closely with the agency Planning and groupm Investment Team
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Proven track record for delivering quality work on time. Brilliant attention to detail and organizational capability are a mandatory.

Identifies and clearly articulates what is working and why, linking the media performance to business goals.
  • COMMERCIAL UNDERSTANDING
Deliver to the agency’s investment KPIs and assists in ensuring we meet our clients’ key contractual requirements.
