Head of Search & Ecommerce (onsite search)

The Search & Ecommerce Director leads the Search practice and strategic excellence across GroupM Nexus, by working across a range of diverse, well-known brands, and delivering high quality Search marketing campaigns to GroupM agencies.

GroupM Nexus MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The GroupM Nexus team adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high value and innovative solutions for our Agencies’ and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.
The following are the responsibilities of the GroupM Nexus Buying team (Search) and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level:
  • Independently manage the assigned teams and implement Search campaigns on major platforms (e.g., Google, Bing, Coccoc) across all GroupM Agency accounts
  • Manage the assigned teams and implement onsite search campaigns on Ecommerce platforms across all GroupM Agency accounts.
  • Formulate Search/Onsite Search strategies for client’s campaigns, ensuring that recommendations and decisions are consistent, imaginative and deliver results. (including draft media schedule) for GroupM agency planners/teams.
  • Support for Agency pitching focus on Seach and Ecommerce
  • Provide actionable insights during mid and post campaign reports to improve in-flight optimizations and future campaign brief recommendations
  • Lead and implement Search campaign activities of established local and global brands across multiple industries
  • Attain Google Ads Search and Analytics certifications
  • Accountable for business performance and is a key leader in the performance implementation team, ensuring growth and development takes place
  • Establish working models for Search to be used by GroupM Agency teams as a planning and an operations model
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 9+ years working experience in Digital Performance or relevant industry
  • 3+ years in managing a Search/Performance team
  • Proficiency in Onsite Search (Shopee, Lazada, Tiki)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing a team to deliver best in class client campaigns
  • Deep knowledge of Search as a behavior not a platform. Covering Search planning expertise on verticals, social, e-Comm, audio
  • Practical expertise in paid Search activation on the global/regional biddable platforms including Search management platforms Google, Microsoft Advertising and relevant platform certification
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Leadership skills demonstrated as the ability to anticipate and remove barrier to productivity, drive teams towards clear goals, take effective decisions and challenge the status quo
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by setting high standards for yourself and others, holding teams accountable, focusing on continuous optimization while mitigating risks

  • Good working knowledge of non-digital media and the role they play in driving Search

  • Passionate about digital marketing, Search tools and technologies and eager to keep learning
