Position at GroupM Nexus

Head of AdOperations is responsible for leading data governance and serve as a technical consulting partner to all GroupM Agencies across all areas of digital (biddable and non-biddable) activation. In addition, they mentor a team of managers on Digital AdOperations initiatives and activities.

Report Line : Primary report to Head of GroupM Services Biddable, GroupM Thailand. 

The following are the responsibilities of the GroupM Services AdOps Team and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level:

  • Lead agency deliverables and campaign KPIs’ that have been committed to brands
  • Sets agenda and direction for AdOperation process improvements to enhance campaign delivery across GroupM Services and GroupM agencies
  • Drive consistent performance feedback to the team members
  • Proactively address, and if needed escalate, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables 
  • Be able to adapt to fast changing priorities  
  • Lead quality control and assurance practices across the AdOps team
  • Lead compliance and governance with finance process, GroupM policies and procedures.
  • Lead cross-function collaboration by demonstrating openness to new ideas and interest in learning from colleagues with different expertise
  • Incentivize knowledge share, continuous learning of AdTech Trends and new technologies and advocate best practices
Individual Responsibilities 
  • Oversee all activities across all biddable/non-biddable campaigns – AdOps team
  • Lead and support all GroupM Agency’s key account on go to data strategy coupled with best in class tracking architecture (i.e. tagging)
  • Demonstrate aptitude across digital operations and deliver technologies (such as AdServers, dynamic creative) to maximize campaign performance efficiency
  • Demonstrate a holistic understanding of GroupM Agency’s clients and advertising platform data profile and connectivity (i.e. AdServers, DSP, analytics)
  • Identify and lead an operations automation project across groups of specialists (use of APIs/custom scripts or any third-party tools)
  • Promote an analytical approach and problem-solving capability to the team
  • Effectively communicate and simplify technical explanations to senior GroupM Agency’s stakeholders and/or clients
  • Liaise with various parties within the digital spectrum for effective campaign delivery such as GroupM Agency Planners, creative agencies, digital publishers
  • Strengthen partnership across technology players such as AdServers, reputable third-party AdTech companies and vendors in order to apply innovative product solutions across campaign delivery
  • Be the voice of GroupM, as required, in order to grow GroupM’s positioning as the torchbearer of the industry
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Technical skills 
  • At least Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM and Media Technology or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of digital AdOps background and excellent knowledge in digital media
  • 3+ years managing a business unit within a technical capacity
  • Established relationships with media partners, verification companies and large digital players like Google/FB
  • Very strong desire to evangelize the importance of operations, measurement among the agency planning community
  • Able to manage competing priorities
  • Leadership skills demonstrated as the ability to anticipate and remove barriers to productivity, drive teams towards clear goals, take effective decisions and challenge the status quo.
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by setting high standards for yourself and others, holding teams accountable, focusing on continuous optimization while mitigating risks.
  • Passionate about digital media, AdTech, marketing tools and technologies and eager to keep learning
  • Ability to build and maintain a productive collaboration across teams
  • Persuasive and effective communicator
  • Ability to read/write SQL qQuery, consulting databases and effectively read/write HTML/Javascript
