Overview of job
Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Managing Partner to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for running a portfolio of high-profile brands with services scope focused on client delivery (client delight, trusted advisor, engaging with the senior clients & strong health of the relationship), communications strategy and media campaign implementation management, by harnessing your amazing insight, analytics and strategy skills.

In this role, your goals will be: 

In 3 months:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the client's businesses (KPIs, growth spaces, key challenges and how they differ from other brands).
  • Understand the current horizon of media, data, and commerce activities on the client and build a perspective on areas of excellence
  • Leading key areas of transformation, business strategy, and brand growth with high quality and agile responsiveness to client requests
  • Understand team dynamics, talent spaces, and functions and build a relationship of trust and growth.

In 6 months:

  • Land a strategic view of the client’s business with a perspective that blends best practices and original thinking
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at the client and engage with them effectively.
  • Improve outputs and presentation of reviews/planning sessions
  • Drive business excellence by bringing together all the areas and leading them to future forward thinking
  • Begin to consult with clients on their business challenges for short term and long term
  • Maintain a high level of execution excellence through the team
  • Lead the data and audience strategy, data architecture, emerging commerce spaces, and new ways of measurement
  • Ensure deployment of all the relevant Wavemaker India and global tools

  • You are expected to have experience in integrated strategy with a focus on digital, business orientation, and data/tech transformation spaces.

  • High attention to detail to ensure the team’s output is of the highest quality
  • Leadership skills; ability to manage a very large team
  • Ability to navigate difficult client situations/manage expectations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Post Graduate degree in Mass Communication/ Mass Media/Marketing from a reputed institution/university with min 12 plus years of work experience
