GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join us.  The overall objective of this role is to identify and attract the best and brightest talent for the GroupM agencies in Taiwan. He/she will also deliver exceptional candidate experiences, and leverage technology, and data for smarter and more consistent hiring at all levels in the business.

Our approach to talent acquisition brings a mindset and a tool set which is more akin to how a consumer goods company markets to customers and prospects.  To achieve results in this role, we expect you to develop and deliver tactics across our group and agencies, adding value with every interaction and being a “servant of the markets” – operating like an internal management consultant, problem-solver, and capability builder. We need a chameleon, a person who can lean into change and really adapt to different and demanding situations.

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months: 

  • Study company and industry information to be appropriately prepared to execute and pitch opportunities to potential candidates
  • Identify and target companies, candidates, and sources through reference materials and online services
  • Start to anticipate needs in the business through regular, consultative dialogue with internal clients

In six months:

  • Consistently and persistently working on marketing intelligence and market mapping of top 5 competitors and top digital firms in Taiwan. Good understanding on how digital talents have been developed locally
  • Build your industry knowledge expert by keeping abreast of trends and developments in business and the talent market through seminars, conferences and events information
  • Develop a high level of subject matter expertise on Jobvite our social recruiting platform. This is an enterprise-strength, mobile-ready tool.

In 12 months:

  • Build a strong understanding of the digital and offline communications landscape in the region
  • Ensure senior-level hiring managers always have a pipeline of the top talent in their business area/discipline
  • Own, manage and leverage online social channels and job boards [LinkedIn,, Jobvite] for employer branding. Assist with content concepts and execution for rich media assets [e.g. Video] to ensure we are discoverable in these channels

Key focus:

  1. Senior enough to handle some leadership role recruitment via identification of suitable talent, and drive discussions at a level that well represents our group’s position and caliber.
  2. Shows clear understanding of our industry, and/or other similar relevant industries.  Ie: media, advertising, marketing, sales, tech, and financial services.
  3. Understands the importance of glocalization - localized but with a regional/ global outlook and understanding. Preferably with an MNC background.

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • Work with the Head of HR to implement the talent acquisition strategy across the group and our Taiwan market. This will involve lots of getting to know your candidate audience intimately – so a love of phone calls and virtual meetings is a major plus
  • Provide effective recruitment advice, guidance, and solutions to managers across the group and the region; always working within the necessary legal parameters
  • Be an effective, committed and participative team member in order to provide a first-class service to the group; Own projects in the areas of talent mapping, executive research/search, reporting and analysis, and high-volume, high-octane recruiting
  • Ensure all candidates, in particular internal candidates, have a positive experience at every touch-point in the recruiting cycle
  • Own community management for our social channels. Review, analyze and select the most productive job boards in Taiwan
  • Co-create, organize and oversee the production of quality, rich media content assets
  • Assist with the delivery of Taiwan learning and development programs to enhance recruiting capability across the group

What you’ll need:

  • Candidates with some talent acquisition and/or executive research experience, ideally gained in the online/technology marketing space.
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English and native Chinese
  • High level of comfort with, and interest in technology, in particular, CRM tools, analytics dashboards, and content creation tools
  • Strong people and team skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of talent at all levels
  • Excellent listening skills and naturally curious, with the ability to grasp concepts quickly and make good judgments about the required search strategy and/or candidates
  • Outstanding time management skills in order to manage a demanding search load on a daily basis
  • Concern for quality and pride in all work produced
  • Is consistently careful and methodical with a strong eye for detail to ensure accuracy and consistent delivery whilst retaining an awareness of the bigger picture 
  • Ability to work on own initiative; pre-emptive and proactive; constantly thinking ahead; demonstrating a hands-on and highly organized approach to all tasks   
  • Strong creative problem-solving & lateral thinking skills 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - flexible & adaptable with a willingness to learn and ‘muck in’ where ever needed
