GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Regional Senior Financial Manager to join us.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to: Regional Financial Controller
What you’ll bring:
- Prepare for the consolidated financial reporting include flash, actual, forecast, budget of the region
- Review and oversees the financial reports, aging items and account reconciliation of each country and local regional book. Prepare variance analysis and commentary report timely. Highlight risk to management.
- Prepare and review the inter-unit balances and transactions reconciliation and follow through. Work closely with regional and country finance to update progress and aim to clear the mismatched items.
- Communicate the Global and Regional reporting requirements to the Country finance, provide guidance, training, report templates and procedures.
- Coordinate with Shared service accounting team and supervise the Intercompany Invoicing, Accounts receivables, Accounts payable functions and master data maintenance, for a correct accounting and reporting timely for the regional book.
- Be responsible for daily finance operations of Regional unit and prepare periodic detail financial and accounting reports.
- Support the preparation of budget and forecast for Regional unit
- Prepare and review SOX reporting, ensure compliance to SOX and internal controls for for both APAC and regional unit
- Lead annual and tax audits. Work closely with the auditors (external/ internal/ SOX), tax consultants and statutory bodies.
- Support ad hoc tasks and projects.
Minimum qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant with Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience with preferably multinational companies and companies with multiple legal entities and reporting units. Must have both audit and commercial experience.
- Strong financial and management reporting experience is a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills with ability and confidence to work with all levels.
- Independent, attentive to details, organized and proactive. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast pace environment.
- Fluency in both Mandarin, Cantonese and English
- Knowledge in scaled and systematic accounting system is preferred
- High proficient in MS office (Excel and macros). Experience in Hyperion, SAP or similar consolidation and reporting applications is a definite advantage.
