We are currently looking for an Investment Director to join us. 

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring your team talented investment team are using data, technology and tools to deliver best in class media systems

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:


  • Ensures that your direct reports understand their role and responsibilities within the expectations of their job description
  • Ensures team understands the Scope of Work for their respective client
  • Manage requests to ensure the thinking space and time required to deliver tasks to a high standard is given (ie pushes back as needed)
  • Lead quality control of work going to the client across all business divisions to ensure our product is answering the business need
  • Have trusted advisor relationships with clients and agency partners at the relevant level
  • Have a thorough understanding of your clients’ business and category
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day relationship with the client on behalf of the agency team bringing agency colleagues in at the right time as needed
  • Effectively manage client and agency partner expectations with regards to the deadlines and delivery of all work
  • Drives positive collaboration with agency partners
  • Effectively manage and build relationships with our global network


In six months:


  • Lead and oversee the career development of your direct reports (regular coaching, monthly catch ups, career dev discussions, KPIs, on the job/classroom training)
  • Ensure they and their direct reports have a pro-active mentality/approach to their work
  • Help lead a positive, motivating and inspiring culture within your client team
  • Inspire and motivate your client team to think differently and deliver best in market product
  • Motivates the team to over-deliver against client expectations
  • Understand media behaviours for their clients’ audiences (how does the target audience interact with media along their journey)
  • Lead / oversee implementation planning and trading processes ensuring quality and timely output across the segment, identifying buying strategies on a campaign by campaign basis
  • Develop written documents and presentations that are clear, compelling and deliver a tangible outcome
  • Facilitate client and agency meetings and workshops in an inspiring and effective manner to deliver on desired outcomes
  • Keeps up with media trends most relevant for their client portfolio and has a POV on future trends
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts across all media
  • Represent team when issues arise that requires a face-to-face meeting
  • Ensure team gives timely feedback on all media partner responses to brief
  • Assists with revenue tracking and forecasting for their client
  • Oversees financial processes within team to ensure accuracy (e.g. monthly invoicing, budget reconciliations etc)


In 12 months:


  • Be the clients trusted partner and go to person
  • Leads and inspires the development of original and impactful ideas across every aspect of the campaign (either through a workshop or one-on-ones with all other areas of the business)
  • Drives collaboration across all business divisions at all times
  • Works with the head of investment on annual media negotiations
  • Provides ongoing direction and feedback to the wider client team to ensure thinking is deliverable in media and brought to life effectively
  • Works with the Managing Partner to develop portfolio management across all divisions working on the client
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Assists in identifying new revenue opportunities

What your day job looks like at MediaCom:


  • Day-to-day management of team, overseeing and producing materials for planning, buying and reporting on active campaigns
  • Day-to-day client management, meeting with key client stakeholders, providing updates on current campaigns and managing expectations on projects
  • Day-to-day manager/Client Lead check-ins to gain broader understanding of client business needs and workflow within the group
  • Meeting with external partners to track the progress of on-going programs and to stay up-to-date on the latest innovations and opportunities in market
  • Management of global requests in collaboration with Investment Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  •  7+ years’ experience in the media and advertising industry with proven results planning and buying across (preferably) all channels
  • Experience in managing teams and large portfolio of clients
  • Global Client experience
