Overview of job 

Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager Media Buying to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for handling media vendors and facilitating clients throughout the buying process and additional duties as assigned. The role includes both independent and coordinated buying initiatives.

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:

  • Complete knowledge of buying and planning systems.
  • Understanding of the MediaCom buying and planning process – includes basic understanding and importance of proprietary tools.
  • Execute basic media and proprietary campaigns.

In six months:

  • Conduct negotiations with partners and close deals.
  • Analyze and interpret data and its impact.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners.

In 12 months:

  • Develop, execute and analyze negotiation deals.
  • Promote MediaCom proprietary products.
  • Close negotiation deals and manage assigned clients.

What your day job looks like at MediaCom:

  • Execution media invite to all news channel for client media coverages and ensure maximum media to cover the event.
  • Solve billing issues.
  • Maintain rate card.
  • Responsible for weekly RPM check.
  • Ensuring execution of plans.
  • Confirmation of ROS and its delivery.
  • Send releases to channels.
  • Prepare CPRP workings.
  • Maintaining of fixed point chart.
  • Compiling, marking and confirmation of droppages from buying team and channels.

What you’ll bring:

  • Must have strong organizational and numeracy skills
  • Flexibility and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Respect hierarchy and follow a complete chain for assignments.
  • Excellent personal/organizational management.
  • Able to set and meet multiple demands within challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally, formally & informally.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must be a BBA / MBA from a reputable university or equivalent. 
  • Must have an experience of at least 6 months - 1 year in media/digital/marketing experience.
