Overview of job

GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Group Head – SEO, to join us. In this role, you will handle high-profile SEO clients and ensure optimization of their SEO campaigns to attract and engage visitors that closely match the profile of the target audience. You will be heading the SEO business for West.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Won confidence of SEO team
  • Known & become first point of escalation (internal & external) for all businesses

In six months:

  • Equipped team to cater emerging offering such as web analytics as a service, tag management, mobile SEO, ASO, etc. to clients
  • Helped in growing business by 20%
  • Ensured SEO Workflow & Commercial compliance

In 12 months:

  • Renewed 100% of existing businesses
  • Helped in growing business by 60%

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • Manage SEO businesses successfully
  • Team Management
  • Identify opportunities for business development
  • Respond to and follow up on RFPs received proactively
  • Do internal reviews & ensure the same at client site (Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly & Annually)
  • Develop processes to streamline operations & avoid escalations

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong management experience and skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and people not directly reporting to you
  • Honest story-teller with skills to simplify technology/jargons
  • Solid understanding of web analytics & digital media

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably with  BTech/MCA/MBA
