Position at GroupM

The GroupM Services teams adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high-value and innovative solutions for our Agencies and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.

The GroupM Services Reporting Team is tasked with the extraction of data from various technology systems/ platforms and to transform and visualize the extracted data into templated format to provide Agencies and their clients with crucial business-intelligence. 

Following are the responsibilities of the GroupM Services Reporting team and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level:


  • Working closely with GroupM Agencies to propose and support adoption of reporting improvements
  • Regularly update GroupM Agencies and key stakeholders on progress for delivery of reports
  • Collaborate with other GroupM Services teams, tapping their specialists’ knowledge to better understand each data source, ensuring high-quality data has been extracted accurately and built into report formats and templates that will allow colleagues at the GroupM Services to propose campaign optimizations
  • Monitor and track the adoption and utilization of reporting platform across all GroupM Agencies to better understand and document “What works” and “Best Practice” to be shared across teams that may need assistance for better utilization
  • Execute and follow-through on all assigned projects with 100% compliance with GroupM policies and procedures
  • Proactively address, and if needed escalate, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Assist Reporting Manager to follow through and deliver Report Development Projects agreed with GroupM Agency teams, including documentation of data requirements and data structure as well as clarifying data QA guidelines
  • “Designing & Building” the required Report dashboard and implement using Datorama or other relevant data visualization technologies
  • Retrieve, compile, and format large volumes of data, including data from internal GroupM systems as well as from external 3rd party campaign performance tracking system and syndicated research
  • Check and verify data-fields are aligned to visualisation templates agreed with Agencies (i.e. data-field extracted from data sources can be mapped into templated formats)
  • Ensure applications are properly maintained through ensuring all cycles are properly completed, with strong emphasis on Quality Assurance of data and settings
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, or diploma in STEM disciplines, Mass Communications, Digital Advertising/Media, Business Studies or equivalent experience
  • Experience with visualization tools including Datorama, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Spotfire and Omniscope will be highly valued
  • Proficient in system architectures (i.e. translating application design to operational requirements)
  • Prior knowledge of advertising ecosystem, understanding of marketing metrics, and analytical products offered as a service is preferred
  • Preferably familiar with scripting like C#, Python, VBA, Perl and cloud computing techniques
  • Effective communication and attention to details, as ability to focus on important, granular details
  • Team player - able to receive and provide feedback professionally, thrive in a team environment and able to work collaboratively
  • Passionate about digital media and technology and eager to keep learning
  • Preferably 1-2 years working experience in media planning with a media agency and has hands-on experience using various media measurement tools
  • Organization skills
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by a commitment to continuous improvement, taking initiative and delivering results despite constraints
  • Analytical thinking and ability to use reporting and statistics tools
