Position at GroupM

As a Data Strategies Solutions, you will be driving the implementation of GroupM Services Data & Technology projects with our agency partners. You will help design, scope, and deliver right-fit audience strategies, leveraging the Technology & Analytics teams to support the implementation of your recommendations.

The Data Strategies Solutions will be the key POC within the Data & Technology team for our agency partners, supporting them and their clients on best practices for utilising data-driven solutions across collection, activation, analyse & measurement of media campaigns. You will also have extensive partner management experience and a strong understanding of the changing landscape on identity resolution, data privacy, governance & ethics.

In addition, as we are working with the regional team, you will be guiding the market GMS Data & Technology teams, through the delivery of training & enablement plans, coordinating regional technology project rollouts, and being an escalation point for market support.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Support agencies on client brief responses, working with the analytics & technology directors to develop tailored omnichannel solutions using proprietary or partner technologies (AdTech & MarTech).
  • Support GroupM agencies and data & tech leads in developing client specific use case across their existing and future media communication ambitions (leveraging both proprietary and non-proprietary technologies)
  • Conduct client data & technology audits for development of audience strategies.
  • Deliver detailed digital transformation roadmaps to support audience activation, provided in a client-ready format for agency partners to utilise.
  • Project manage all signed-off SOW’s, from initiation to closure and ensure effective delivery.
  • Work closely with agency planning teams to identify opportunities for clients within GMS data & tech service scope.
  • As the SME on data marketplaces, be the POC for GMS buying teams with enquiries on data strategy for media activation (source, validate, build).
  • Develop agency data ‘champions’ in your respective market, through training and enablement programs covering Identity resolutions, data governance and ethics policies, as defined by our global and legal teams.
  • Work with the GroupM Services Regional & Marketing teams to create & deliver Learning & Development sessions on our partner solutions to GMS buying and agency teams.
  • Lead and develop key relationships with relevant data & technology partners, working with investment & agencies to deliver opportunities that support our client and internal requirements.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks relevant to the position.
  • Build a great working relationship with your team, market teams and client team, operating seamlessly together to deliver success for our clients, across the briefing, booking, set up, optimisation and reporting processes.

Measures of Success –

  • In 3 months:
    • Thorough understanding of the GroupM Services Data & Tech processes and commenced utilizing in their day to day tasks & projects
    • Developed centralized accesses knowledge on data solution and strategies platform which align with the team
    • Developed strong working relationships with all team members and relevant stakeholders (e.g. agencies, partners, GMS buying teams).
    • Become an active collaborator on the wider data technology, data scientist, analytics, biddable and strategy teams by attending team trainings and activities.
  • In 6 months:
    • Deployed a data solutions consultancy & project framework that is adopted and utilised with your market stakeholders.
    • Developed tailored solutions and POV at least 2 topics from existing proprietary tools and/or priority new concepts ([m]insights, bridge, ADH, New support tools and direction from Choreograph) or partner technologies (Identity technologies, Google FLoC), with educate to internal data and technology team.
    • Has gained any outstanding accreditation/certifications of relevant technologies utilised within the GroupM Services Data & Tech team.
    • You will have started to build relationships with the key decision makers within the current pipeline.
  • In 12 months:
    • Delivered a successful client data project, from conception to deployment which delivers on client proposed KPI’s
    • Be viewed as a thought leader in Data Strategies and Solutions, who’s regularly contributing to audience strategy planning with agency teams.
    • Provide new data and technology tools and/or platform in order to improve internal/external data strategies and solutions performance and overall client satisfaction.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics)
  • 5+ years in a data & technology consulting role, with expertise around developing client data strategies (eg CRM, 1st party, 3rd party, CDP/DMP’s) for media activation.
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing channels (specifically search, social & programmatic) & digital media metrics
  • Expert knowledge on the data landscape and relevant topics within the industry.
  • Be a strategic problem solver, with the ability to understand client business challenges and develop creative, effective & measurable solutions
  • High-level stakeholder management capabilities, who can influence a diverse range of teams and individuals
  • Effective in both verbal and writing when presenting / packaging projects to the clients and internal stakeholders is a much
  • Experienced trainer, having worked with marketing teams to deliver learning & development programs.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable presenting to clients if needed.
  • Strong data & tech partner management capabilities, with established relationships in place with key partners (e.g. Data on boarders, aggregators, panel providers, etc)
  • Highly organised, detail orientated, QA-focused with demonstrated project management capabilities
  • Excel in executing in an orderly, organized, and structured fashion
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing complexity and challenges
  • Flexibility to work in a cross-functional team but also have the initiative to problem solve independently
  • The following will be highly regarded:
    • Certifications (in addition to demonstrated experience) with Marketing Technology platforms (e.g. GA, GCP, GMP, Salesforce, IBM Omni-Channel Marketing, IBM Unica, Oracle Eloqua, Adobe Marketing Platforms)
    • Advanced knowledge of clean room solutions
    • Hands-on experience in either a technology or analytics role, within an agency or management consulting firm.
    • Commercial experience within Data & Tech consulting (e.g. package service offerings to generate revenue, develop rate cards, SOW’s etc)
    • Experience in basic design, UI/UX sensibilities.
    • Experience in data analysis and multivariate statistics.
    • Excellent analytical skills and strong statistical knowledge, as well as interest in applying them to complex problems.
