About the role:

Media Planning Senior Executives provide a vital supporting role to Essence’s Media Planners. They understand consumers through the use of proprietary tools, clients’ first party data, syndicated research and collaboration with our analytics team. They are close to the media marketplace through maintaining close relationships with publishers, adtech companies and our internal channel specialists. They are client facing, being the person that clients go to for an understanding of the on-going campaigns. They work on campaigns that are brand and DR focused, depending on the brief.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Consumer Insights research using syndicated tools (e.g. GWI, TGI, etc), proprietary tools (e.g. GroupM tools) and 1st party data sources
  • Liaison with internal channel teams and publishers in order to co-create tactical media plan presentations
  • Assist the Planning Manager with the successful & accurate launch of campaigns
  • Work with channel specialists to collate regular reports for on-going campaigns
  • Contribute content to campaign wrap-up presentations
  • Responsible for creative spec sheet management
  • Work across borders with managers and stakeholders overseas

A bit about yourself:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in digital media, advertising, marketing, in-house media agency
  • Japanese/English language abilities
  • Some knowledge of digital media channels such as search, social, display, video or programmatic media
  • A keen interest in people’s relationship with brands, media and technology
  • Excitement to learn new processes and ways of working
  • Strong organizational skills, deadline-driven
  • Problem solving skills and creative thinking with strong reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate in a team environment
