Overview of job
GroupM is expanding their Digital Operations team and is seeking an Ad Operations Senior Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with one year’s experience in an ad operations role working with a strong technical team.

The Digital Operations Senior Executive is responsible for the day to day operations, managing the implementation and execution of all digital campaigns across Australia

Reporting of the role:
This role reports to Digital Operations Senior Manager

Responsibilities of the role:
People – 10%

  • Actively participates in the development of the coordinator through ongoing check-ins and arranging necessary training as required
  • Ensure regular 121’s take place with your direct reports, providing coaching and constructive feedback
  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams and agencies
  • Support and deliver ongoing training to the Coordinators and Executives
  • Tracking personal development plans for your direct report, as well as goal setting

Product – 50%

  • Responsible for the delivery of client campaigns within the operations team
  • Ensure the best in class process is adhered for all digital campaign operations
  • Continuously track and refine the digital operations processes of the team/department
  • Lead day to day relationships with relevant planners in the agencies and ensure timelines are adhered to and client workloads are managed effectively
  • Is actively involved in developing technical knowledge around the industry and third-party ad serving technology and BAV vendors
  • Proactively provides updates to the planning team on technology changes in the ad operations field and how they will impact on their planning
  • Develops strong relationships with media owners, ad-serving / technology partners and agency planners
  • Effectively manages expectations of Director and planners should deadlines set not be achievable

Partner – 40 %

  • Responsible for updating the internal planners on campaign developments and progress
  • Builds strong relationships with planning Managers
  • Builds expert knowledge in the ad tech space and presents /showcases this to the agency at the monthly digital meetings

Measures of success –
In three months, you have:

  • Demonstrate strong operational and project management skills, managing the full campaign implementation life-cycle across a number of your own clients
  • A good understanding of the GroupM specialists’ units and agencies

In six months, you have:

  • Been exposed to multiple ad servers and competently able to traffic across our main third-party ad serving platforms (Sizmek, Campaign Manager, Adform)
  • Develop a good understanding of thestrengths of our technology partners

In twelve months, you have:

  • Actively identify and provide updates to the agencies on technology developments, and made recommendations on various solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Become a technical specialist within the agency, and manage an individual project
What you will need:
  • This position is best suited to someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a digital or Ad Operations role
  • Have a good understanding of ad-serving platforms such as Sizmek and DoubleClick
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Be highly numerate and organised, with an ability to demonstrate implementation and adherence to processes, as well as great attention to detail
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Highly motivated and passionate individual who is keen to excel their career in digital advertising
