The GroupM Services (GMS) teams adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high valued and innovative solutions for our Agencies’ and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.  

The Campaign Delivery team (CDT) creates an effective link between the client-facing Agencies and the GMS Activation Specialists. The Campaign Delivery team ensures that comprehensive briefs are received from GroupM Agencies and ensures that GMS Specialists meet clients’ expectations by achieving campaign KPI’s timely and through operational excellence. They also support reporting outputs, offer insights and recommendations across strategic planning and GroupM Agency pitches.

Measures of success –

In 3 months:

  • Understanding of GMS functioning
  • Establish smooth project management practices
  • Become the effective bridge between Agency Planner & the Activation Specialist
  • Be on top from brief to implementation of campaigns for the aligned business
  • Establish confidence in the team through your contribution and value adds
  • Involve in implementation planning for aligned business and clients’ day to day requirements
  • Setting up and aligning SLAs between Client requirements (Agency Teams) and GMS deliverables (Activation Specialists) for businesses managed by the CDT
  • Complete Quality Control ownership of all Plans
  • Workflow management within the Activation Specialists across teams
  • Stitching up of all Non-Biddable plans across media meeting the brief requirements
  • Complete understanding of TV, Press, Radio and Digital I/O Buys planning & activation
  • Learn planning & execution on Digital Reservation Buys and generating integrated media plans

In 6 months:

  • Handle tactical and implementation planning & buying independently with the team, ensure delivery of KPI as aligned
  • Create a 360 degree/ integration media planning approach for new campaigns
  • Motivate and build confidence in the team to handle the Agency requirement
  • Ensure effective Agency Relationship Management is maintained with key stakeholders
  • Lead the Campaign Delivery team in meeting the strategy, planning, execution, and reporting requirements
  • Plan Optimization and prioritization of workflow in case of activity load being higher than team bandwidth to manage the activity volume
  • Ensure timely reporting of media deliverables through Activation Specialists and Reporting team
  • Effectively managing the implementation buying function within the CDT

In 12 months:

  • Train and build multi-channel / integrated plan champions with your team
  • Ensure 100% Key Account Reviews are done as per aligned SOP, frequency and within the stipulated time-line – with the help of a tracker
  • Achieve 100% GMS compliance and adherence to aligned GMS process across the business
  • Ensure contribution for new GMS tool creation/ enhancement to achieve higher efficiency compared to previous annual efficiency benchmarks
  • Lead a team of activation specialist by supervising and mentoring them to raise the quality of deliverables to the client
  • Establish solid relationships with the agencies and the GMS team internally
  • Be the lead contact and trusted advisor for any Non-Biddable campaign delivery

Responsibilities of the role:

Following are the responsibilities of the GMS Campaign Delivery team (CDT) and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level: 

  • GMS CDT Accountable for delivering tactical planning and implementation for a set of clients
  • GMS CDT understands clients’ brand identity, GroupM Agency’s deliverables and campaign KPI’s
  • CDT to Receive, analyse and respond to the Agency team on Activation Plan Brief, bridge the gap if any in co-ordination with the Agency team
  • Work with GroupM Agency teams to manage client budgets, establish strong but realistic campaign goals and accordingly deliver KPIs
  • CDT understand media behaviours and how the target audience interacts with media
  • Platform Strategy is effectively embedded in the plan structure based on aligned process
  • Setting up of Strategic weights for campaigns
  • Ensure Multi-channel / integrated plan solution is provided to Agency team wherever required; maintaining standards of deliveries as aligned
  • Co-ordination with the GMS Biddable CDT for relevant plans (YouTube Reservation / Auction plans)
  • Work collaboratively with all Agency partners, a specialist with GMS and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to the campaign execution and deliver value to the client
  • Ensure Planning & Buying QC & process optimization around key deliverables for Campaigns.
  • Create smooth Project Management practices
  • Send Consolidate Non-Biddable plan to Agency; discuss with the Agency team; close the plan with the expectations from them
  • Ensure Key Account Reviews are done as per aligned SOP and within the timelines
  • You will be the Agency Relationship Manager from GMS
  • Load management towards ensuring timely deliveries leading to client delight
  • Ensure understanding and 100% compliance with both GroupM and finance processes, policies and procedures
  • Promote knowledge share and continuous learning around POVs, trends, relevant skills, media channels and technologies to continue nurturing a high-performing team
  • Review output from the GMS before delivering to the Agency team to ensure a best-in-class response

 What you will need:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of media planning strategic level as well as implementation
  • Understanding of Media – TV, Print, Radio & Digital Display
  • Industry Software Knowledge & usage – Yumi, IRS, TGI, MAP. Understanding of digital tools like ComScore, Multi-screen planning, etc
  • An innovative approach: in use of media, exploration of new forms of media and communication
  • Strong business process mapping, analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detailing
  • Ability to question & challenge team at all levels with confidence, to arrive at a clear and unambiguous view of requirements
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Meticulous process & execution management
  • Proactiveness in address and escalate when needed, on any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
