Overview of job
GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and is a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager-Search to join us.
The GroupM Nexus team adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high valued and innovative solutions for our Agencies’ and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.

We are currently looking for an Associate Director - Performance Marketing to join us. 

Reporting of the role
This role reports to: POD Lead

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of biddable media landscape including Search, Meta, other biddable platforms.
  • Efficiently manage day-to-day tasks and requirements.
  • Foster trust with both client, business teams and internal team.
  • Effectively oversee performance marketing team operations and to be able delegate the work amongst team members.
  • Innovate and implement new initiatives, leveraging platform BETAs.
In six months:
  • Lead client engagements daily, ensuring optimal account performance.
  • Implement and optimize strategies across all biddable media platforms.
  • Advocate and implement industry best practices.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans across biddable media platforms.
  • Lead internal and external case studies and contribute to internal awards.
  • Lead business pitches and provide insightful audit recommendations.
In 12 months:
  • Surpass client KPIs across biddable media implementation and strategy.
  • Define KRAs for team members, fostering team and individual growth.
  • Drive revenue growth, achieving incremental ROAS Month Over Month (MOM) and Year Over Year (YOY). 
What your day job looks like at GroupM: 
  1. Analyze, track and optimize on an ongoing basis effective benchmark for measuring the campaigns performance including keyword/placement bids, account daily/monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score, CTR, conversion rate, sessions, ROAS and Revenue including AOV and other important metrics and proactively make strategic recommendations to meet campaign goals and improve performance. 
  2. Communicate with internal stake holders on innovations, set realistic timelines with BT and client team, and produce groundbreaking results. Work closely with the team members to meet goals. 
  3. Monitor GA4, internal tracker and reporting dashboards and regularly make recommendations for improving the data available.
  4. Stay ahead of the competition by analysing, keeping pace and regularly documenting industry trends across the platforms, and adopting new/best practices on an ongoing basis.

Minimum qualifications and Requirements:
 
  • 8+ years of experience in strategizing and executing performance marketing campaigns across multiple channels such as Google ads, META ads with good understanding on eCOM (Amazon ), Programmatic LinkedIn ads, Twitter Ads, Snapchat.
  • Agency experience is a MUST in a D2C set-up.
  • Proven experience in managing annual budgets of at least 40-50Crores.
  • Capable of driving growth, managing team of min 5 paid specialists, and launch strategy for the new campaigns both BAU and Tactical.
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isn't working.
  • MBA in Marketing / Business Management or relevant field.
  • Possess strategic thinking and planning skills while maintaining a hands-on approach.
  • Excel in presenting and analysing data and generating actionable reports.
  • Analytics expert in GA4, Adobe, MMP’s ssand other analytical tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and persuade effectively at all levels, including senior management.
