Our role is to help the Uber business grow and “glocalize” the future of Media: ensure its local and global team members are integrating and connecting with agility,and delivering best-in-class marketing experiences to its consumers across its growing range of businesses.

To serve Uber’s needs, we are creating a bespoke solution with the best of WPP for Uber – Accelerate.  Accelerate is the opportunity to build what will be MediaCom’s model in a few years.  Joining the team provides you with regional CEO & Global Exco Exposure, a start up experience in a large global company and rapid career advancement within our organization.

With 30 countries, +200 plus team members, and regular new product launches, the account is looking for a regional planning and network integration director to manage this complexity with high organization, collaboration, and agility, inspiring markets to be bold and be active participants on the Team Uber community.    


The Regional Planning and Network Integration Director is responsible for the high quality of regional and local media plans.  The director will develop regional planning and activation guidelines as well as managing group of digital planners in delivering biddable campaign approach for local markets. The ideal candidate will facilitate inter departmental, client, and interagency communications that enable us to produce high quality planning deliverables and deadlines in an on-time manner and at the highest quality. 

The role requires collaboration with many stakeholders in planning and investment, across many levels, in a highly matrixed organization.  In this capacity the Regional Planning and Network Integration Director must be able to manage the many projects we balance.

Working with the team’s regional and global leadership, you will help the team accomplish challenging goals and objectives, balancing client, company, and team priorities.


…as a planning and network integration director

  • Create, optimize, and govern global to regional planning and activation fundamentals
  • Create workflow and processes to enable the production of high quality local/regional plans
  • Help develop and update global/regional playbooks and ensure adoption
  • Manage group of planning managers supporting local/regional plan development
  • Coach and support local teams to “raise the floor and the ceiling”
  • Oversee plan rollups and reporting, ensuring templatization and governance
  • Strengthen and develop regional team connectivity
  • Contribute to global knowledge sharing community

Integrate across disciplines of the team, most notably social/programmatic activation functions to ensure local teams are delivering a consistent, high-quality product in line with the account growth roadmap.

  • Support regional leadership in merchandising local work and contributing to global initiatives
  • Improving connectivity between Global and Local to bring to life application and help keep regional/local teams ‘one-step’ ahead on account direction, trends, etc
  • Promotes consistency in key areas (education, communication, operations) across regions

  • Advocate and champion market learnings to provide clear visibility across the region/globe - via network highlights, case studies, CRM, etc
  • Understand and support team priorities as given by Client Director and agency management.
  • Partner with leadership to offer input on our service delivery with an aim for outstanding client scores.
  • Support key agency initiatives.
  • Support client QBRs

…as a communicator

  • Manage prioritization of projects with regional team, and key clients.
  • Translate regional needs to local and vice versa
  • Quickly understand and apply nuances across markets
  • Ensure client follow-ups are executed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work with global/regional team to understand where team improvement can be made and execute corresponding plans in line with the role.

  • Support status calls with internally and with client to better understand and solve for their pain points.
  • Able to respectfully challenge and motivate the client with creditability


  • Extensive knowledge of the APAC media and marketing landscape, demonstrating a depth in both brand and performance-based marketing across all channels
  • Strong experience managing workflow and campaigns across a large global network
  • Cross functional perspective – knows how to “connect the dots” across workstreams and motivate team to deliver promised results
  • Strong knowledge of omnichannel planning, negotiations, and operations
  • Strong understanding of biddable platforms
  • Experience managing negotiations with partners to mutually beneficially results    
  • Aptitude and experience with digital strategy and activation across platforms and countries
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous environments – whether that be process, problems, new technology, etc.
  • Adaptability to adjust approach to incorporate new and evolving information as it becomes available – not fixated on initial ideas/approaches as the only way forward.
  • See the big picture and dive into details as needed.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends; not only reads the trades, but also has a POV.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years of agency experience desired, with experience leading global/regional planning on other large global accounts
