About the role
As Group Digital Director, you will lead the digital function of our Melbourne team overseeing all strategic planning and implementation across our client teams. You will work collaboratively with the strategy and planning teams to execute multi-channel campaigns delivering best in class media solutions for our clients. You will have the opportunity to cultivate and help grow an award-winning team of Directors and Associate Directors leading the way in digital innovation. Notably, Amazon’s #catinthebox campaign which took home three awards at the Festival of Media Global Awards; Gold for Best Engagement Strategy, gold for Best Event or Experiential Campaign, and silver for Best Direct to Consumer Marketing Campaign.

- A forward-thinking digital strategist that is highly proficient at communicating to senior internal and external stakeholders
- Identifies and executes plans that capitalise on opportunities to utilise data & technology deployment
- Builds and maintains a robust relationship with the clients and the media, with face to face interaction, managing WIPs and delivering on key KPI metrics
- Recognises commercial & proactive opportunities with the ability to sell in media initiatives over and above media recommendations
- Maintains a healthy team culture, through training and development initiatives, managing people related issues as a priority to ensure overall happiness levels of team
- Manages the workflow and quality control of your group
- Hold regular performance reviews across the year ensure standards and talent development
- Actively take steps to improve staff retention
- Creating long terms development opportunities fostering your teams career growth during their time at EssenceMediacom
More about You
- Either currently in a Group Director level or have a minimum of 2-3 years as an experienced Director
- Experience leading small & medium teams in variable environments
- Strong knowledge of the digital media industry in Australia with experience across all digital mediums
- Solutions orientated, with a deep understanding of the continuously changing digital landscape
- Experience in digital analytics platforms is advantageous
