Overview of the Job
GroupM is currently looking for an Associate Director with a deep understanding of and passion for bringing best-in-class communication solutions to our clients.

You must have a proven track record of account leadership and strategic planning experience across diverse integrated media channels in a media/creative/digital agency based in Singapore.

You should possess a strong working knowledge of social media landscape from both paid and organic perspective as you will be responsible for driving and managing paid social campaigns and content/KOL partnerships.

We expect you to be bold and resilient, with a relentless ambition to deliver towards clients’ business and marketing objectives as well as drive agency’s revenue growth.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Group Account Director.

Key responsibilities
  1. You will serve as the thought leader in aligning strategic thinking with client’s business goals and marketing objectives among internal and external stakeholders to drive tangible growth for clients.
  2. Key custodian of clients’ media and trading investment across digital and offline channels to meet agency’s revenue growth targets.
  3. Lead strategic planning and direct team members to support in the development of award-winning campaigns by delivering best-in-class work with strong business outcomes.
  4. Strategise and manage partnership projects with key media partners, content publishers, KOLs to create and deliver effective social and content campaigns for clients.
  5. Lead collaboration with specialist teams in GroupM to formulate effective solutions to drive new revenue streams, including out of scope initiatives and new business pitches.

Measures of Success
In 3-6 months:
  • Client Relationship: Demonstrate good understanding of clients’ business and ability to apply this knowledge to proactively lead meeting discussions.
  • Strategic Thinking and Presentation: Ensure holistic thinking is carried across channel planning with outcomes that can be clearly measured. Able to write and articulate compelling comms strategy and recommendation.
  • Project & Team Management: Ensure smooth workflow and clients and team members are up to speed on all tasks. Deliver effective solutions to the clients with the support of Content and Digital specialist teams.
In 6-12 months:
  • Establish trusted advisor status – able to support the broader strategic output for clients’ marketing and communication needs.
  • Lead and direct team members to support in the development of award winning campaigns by delivering industry first or media first ideas.
  • Drive incremental revenue YOY.
What You Will Need
  • The role will suit candidates who have a strong proactive and commercial mindset as it requires candidates to take commercial and managerial responsibility for the growth of agency accounts.
  • An experienced and effective project manager with a track record for strategizing and delivering complex media/content partnership projects with a strong KPI framework.
  • A creative thinker who constantly seeks new ideas and inspirations to bring fresh perspectives to internal teams and clients. Able to develop, articulate and present these ideas to successfully sell in to clients and stakeholders.
  • Working experience in new business pitch; part of the core pitch team and participated in the development and presentation of pitch presentations.
  • Resilient, able to work with demanding client expectations and challenging deadlines.
  • Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in a media/digital agency with at least the last 2 years based in Singapore.
