Position at GroupM

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Consultant to join the data, technology & analytics division of GroupM Services. In this role, you will provide end-to-end consultancy services to GroupM clients, working with agencies and the performance media group around the utilisation of our proprietary & 3rd party technologies. You will have a strong technical background within the Adtech/Martech industry, be data driven, a relationship builder, with proven project management capabilities.

This role reports to the Head of Data, Technology & Analytics – GroupM Services.

In this role, your goals will be: In three months:

  • Developed a thorough understanding of our proprietary Data/Audiences tech-stack, with the ability to train and support local end-users independently.
  • Have gained any outstanding accreditation/certifications of relevant 3rd party DMP’s, CDPs & digital analytics technologies.


In six months:

  • Lead the effort of data spine evolution in market, with local data partners identified and implemented
  • Established an agency network to promote utilisation and best practice of the data, tech & services with demonstrated applications
  • Develop & maintain a client 1st party data consultancy framework that is adopted and utilised by all GMS data, tech & analytics stakeholders



In 12 months:

  • Delivered a successful client data project, from conception to deployment which delivers on client proposed KPI’s
  • Be viewed as a thought leader across data and analytics, who’s regularly involved in strategic planning with client teams
  • Create a culture of thought leadership around data / ID evolution in a cookieless future for targeting & measurement



What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • General agency pitch support for data as needed but more proactively creating consulting frameworks around client 1st PD data architecture, guidance, and recommendation around CDPs implementation, vs DMP
  • Contribute to team projects as the executive sponsor for client data initiatives
  • Provide end-user training across our proprietary technology stack
  • Support the agencies in audience planning strategies utilising all data assets
  • Own the setup elements such as first party data, tag integration (tag management systems, custom data integrations, CRM connections, etc.), custom data partner integration development.
  • Work with data partners to integrate their data sets into [m]insights (Onboarding & Testing Data Sets)
  • Collect & distribute local product feature requests to global/regional teams
  • Ensure local instances of our data collection & taxonomy are maintained
  • Work closely with the global and regional product team to test and rollout new features, special with the cookieless future of audience planning tools
  • Localise & distribute documentation such as POV’s and release notes
  • Develop market specific case studies demonstrating our capabilities


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (Data, Technology, IT, Marketing)
  • Previous experience in a technical consulting role within Adtech/Martech
  • Certifications (or advanced knowledge) in DMP & digital analytics platforms
  • A strong understanding of all digital marketing channels
  • Familiar with advanced analytics and data management concepts
  • Proven ability to build and grow relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a cross-functional team but also have the initiative to problem-solve independently.
  • Highly organised with demonstrated project management capabilities
