Overview of job

Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and is a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are looking to hire a Director – Sports & Gaming to join us. In this role, you will be leading the advocacy narrative at Mindshare for a large cluster of brands for the largest FMCG organization in India.

In this role, you will be working in the Mumbai office as the interface between India’s biggest FMCG player and right holders in Sports Gaming & eSports industry.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Get an understanding of a wide set of brands and the spaces they operate in
  • Familiarize with the agency setup locally and understand the integrated work approach with various internal teams
  • Exposure and grasp of projects in pipeline along with day-to-day activities on various brands
  • Start interaction and engage with select right holders Sports & Gaming practice

In six months:

  • Lead and develop proposals customised to client’s brief(s) by working closely with brands
  • Manage and work with the agency team to continuously be in the pulse of what’s happening at client’s end and be on top of upcoming client’s campaigns
  • Orchestrate inputs from internal teams and clients to mine out customized solutions from right holders’ network
  • Gain industry expertise in terms of key relationships and keen understanding of modus operandi at right holder’s end

In twelve months:

  • Start closing opportunities proposed within Sports & Gaming domain with agency units and clients by demonstrating a strong focus on strategy, integration, and industry expertise
  • Build strong relationships and nurture new ones with partners
  • Initiate and drive key projects across a wide set of brands

 

What your day job looks like at Mindshare

  • Constant interaction with internal teams to be updated on upcoming client’s briefs and campaigns
  • Being part of brainstorming and ideation sessions to in larger client campaigns
  • Meetings with clients to familiarize the client teams with industry updates and decipher key take outs for them from business perspective
  • Constant interaction with right holders in Sports & Gaming industry to be updated on the upcoming calendar at least 6 months in advance
  • Execution of deals closed across media touch points

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in media sales or brand solutions or sports/gaming industry
  • Deal negotiation and closure skills with various stakeholders for a win-win proposition for all parties concerned
  • Minimum post-graduation degree/diploma in media and communications from a reputed institute
  • Basics and presentation and Excel skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
