Overview of job

Mindshare is a part of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Director - Analytics to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for campaign analysis, and insight generation for top clients. This position is responsible for all deliverables including, but not limited to, campaign reporting, brand lift studies, media and creative tests, creative analysis, budget forecasting etc.

You will be expected to:

  • Analyze media performance utilizing cutting edge cloud tools and innovative analytics techniques that to create actionable insights
  • Perform storytelling from data and analyses; persuasively communicate insights to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Manage Mar-Tech product implementation across top clients, deliver POC and gradual scale up engagement with right use case identification

Measures of success

In three months:

  1. Trained and become subject matter expert in all areas concerning Google ADH (Ads Data Hub), BigQuery Analytics and Google Data Studio Visualization.
  2. Implemented ADH activation for one client with hands on analysis, in collaboration with Google Bigquery Tech team and GroupM Data & Tech team
  3. Client engagement and expectation management

In 6 months:

You have a good understanding of the Google ADH Tables & schema, as well as client’s digital campaign objective and tactics deployed. You built a strong working engagement with clients, through helping them to expand and optimize their digital marketing by leveraging data analytics and mar-tech products.

In 12 months:

You will be key to all ADH deployment as well as expanding mar-tech products across clients. You will be expert in data driven digital marketing, with proven success in tech enablement.   You will train, guide, mentor the junior Analysts and Data Engineers on Google ADH and BigQuery.  

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage and help grow analytics support across existing and client new business
  • Supervise, train and mentor experienced and junior digital analysts
  • Identify measurement opportunities, research and/or advanced analytics that supports our clients’ marketing objectives
  • Use Statistical and Data Mining methods to project and explain client performance
  • Act as primary day-to-day contact on insights and analytics to digital and traditional media managers and clients
  • Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with project managers and director
  • Consult with clients on strategic decisions based on data insights
  • Develop analytics proposals and strategies to present to clients
  • Identify and partner with external measurement vendors and third-party data providers

What you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience in statistical analysis, segmentation, predictive modeling, consulting and project management, preferably within the digital marketing space
  • 1-2 years of experience in a people management or supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science. Economics, Operations Research or related quantitative field
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing disciplines (including primary research, online advertising, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
  • Experience working with programmatic data and ad serving platforms such as DCM and/ or trading platforms such as DV360
  • Proven experience with SQL/BigQuery and experience working with at least one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
  • Thorough understanding of online marketing, digital metrics and programmatic
  • Website traffic analytics software (tagging and log file based) such as Omniture or Google Analytics preferred
  • Deep knowledge of various measurement and campaign management technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using statistical and econometric modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Possess excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills.
