SENIOR DIRECTOR, Regional Media Strategy Planning Thank you for your interest in joining our team. We’re committed to excellence. We are looking for a Regional Planning Senior Director to work alongside the Media Operation Lead at WPP Open X @ EssenceMediacom to deliver best-in-class regional strategic solutions across both short-term campaign strategies and long-term business development & transformation. You will be responsible for multi-screen planning with a mixed-reach approach, defining the market prioritization approach, and content strategy across the portfolio and brand. The Senior Director will be someone who can quickly assimilate to establish the process and ways of working, while at the same time leading and defining how this comes to life at a regional level for those key responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be strategically minded, confident, and able to educate and aid the development of both internal & external teams, meanwhile acting a key contact window for clients.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
IN THREE MONTHS:
• Learn and apply the existing planning & analysis tools, eg. SHJ, Meyes, iResearch, CODC, AdPower, CSM, and media industry related reporting (eg. GMK, Quest Mobile) collection and digestion for the beverage category. Then supporting LM to compose the FY24 annual competitor review report of the media trend portion.
• Get instant familiar and contribute into FY24 annual competitors review with supporting LM to input the category investment trend implications/KISS.
• Outlined the comprehensive planning and tracking of TCCC specific market prioritization approach for MSP and set up pilot test to blend in focus media office LCD into mix-reach planning.
IN SIX MONTHS:
•
Understand TCCC portfolio and beverage category and establish partnership processes with key media to enabling media innovation on TCCC
•
Exhibit good understanding and forecast on media/ industry/competitors’ movements & implications to the businesses.
•
Create new solution or proposal of eliminate heavy labour intensity regular reporting.
•
Mastering the planning principle or framework about budget allocation by medium/brand/city
•
Develop strong working relationship with clients, your colleagues across functions, and adapt to agency open-source culture
•
Be a mentor and ensure all direct reports master the skills and organizational savvy required for advancement.
•
Be a trusted advisor internal and external.
IN TWELVE MONTHS:
•
Research and implement new techniques and technologies that are relevant to clients’ media strategies.
•
Management on media planning and buying strategy to ensure brand KPI can be 100% delivered
•
Map out new media/content opportunities for the client that can lead to an award winning piece of work
•
Develop training sessions, including workshop, playbook or courses to guide team of the next year media strategy and planning principle.
•
Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensure team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills.
REPORTING OF THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
•
Own a strong understanding of available media planning tools
• Develop, monitor, and manage full media budget. Maximize budget effectiveness to reach campaign and business objective
•
Develop/propose/deploy new solutions (publishers, formats, targeting, etc)
• Connect the dots between our client goals, data & analytics, insights and media execution to develop detailed and thoughtful strategy.
• Develop O2O media strategies, consumer journeys, channel plans and confidently present to clients, bottlers, and internal stakeholders
• Drive and deliver the regular QBR, media roadshow, media review significant meetings with clients and bottlers.
•
Champion media strategy and planning within the agency and create digital or traditional showcase with impact on TCCC business growth
•
Consistently deliver and inspire the team to produce high-quality and impactful regional planning work across GC that helps us to gain trust from clients.
• Serve as an integral resource to the broader team, particularly media planners & strategists, for advice and counsel on budgeting and always on media.
•
Build strong, collaborative client relationships, instilling trust, and authority on behalf of the agency
•
Manage, train and mentor to the team. Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensure team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES YOU NEED TO DEMONSTRATE
• Minimum 10 years media agency experience with strong hold understanding of strategy planning and tactical planning
•
Capable and knowledgeable use of various planning, insight systems and 3rd party tracking. (Such like CNRS, Mintel, miaozhen, reachmax…etc.)
•
A proven track record of delivering compelling media strategy and driving measurable results
•
Sensitive on numeric/budget
•
Familiar with how data could be used in driving business outcome and how business outcome could be measured by data
•
Collaborate and lead across multiple disciplines while working with partners at varying levels of leadership – a relationship builder
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with evolved present-to-persuade and facilitation skills. Strong analytics skills and can see business implications beyond data
•
Have the ability to demonstrate a depth of understanding of the industry, the client’s business and brands as well as changes to consumer and media in senior level client conversations.
•
Excel at ability to influence without authority but with the organization’s support to ensure that even without authority there is accountability.

Good problem-solving skills
