Reporting of the role

This role reports to the MD India.

Measures of success 

In three months:

  • You would have complete knowledge of relevant categories
  • You would have understanding of Essence functions and operating processes
  • You would have been able to understand the client working style and deliver on their day to day requirements and start building relationships with the key decision makers within the current pipeline
  • Planning & Strategy: Ensure holistic thinking is carried across channel planning and outcomes that can be clearly measured.
  • Campaign delivery: Oversee effective and accurate optimization and delivery of performance, utilizing all relevant internal teams (i.e. campaign operations), agency processes and tech.
  • Projection management: Ensure smooth workflow and clients and team members are up to speed on all tasks.

In six months, you would have:

  • Demonstrate good understanding of clients’ business and challenges and ability to apply the knowledge in the formulation of campaign strategy and recommendation.
  • Build a good relationship with clients, internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Lead and direct all team members to support in the development of channel plans and creative solutions that are planned holistically with the broader media mix.
  • Understanding media beyond digital and collaborating with the larger team to deliver on IBE (Integrated Brand Experiences) solutions.
  • Develop and sell in innovating media ideas/concepts to drive incremental revenue.
  • Working closely on data and tech drive solutions with the Digital Head and team.

 In 12 months, you would have:

  • Establish trusted advisor status: Able to support the broader strategic output for clients’ marketing and communication needs and inject your digital specialization.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Develop and execute an engagement strategy in collaboration with the regional/global team and global discipline leads
  • Take accountability for growing client business, client satisfaction, and team retention
  • Act as lead on cross-agency collaboration and contribute to the overall planning process
  • Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources
  • Train Account Directors and Account Managers
  • Participate in the strategic development of new business
  • Build strong ties with leads across disciplines to produce successful campaigns, maintaining high levels of communication throughout campaign lifecycle
  • Interrogate work before client delivery to ensure it meets the brief and expectations
  • Global coordination by facilitating knowledge and context sharing across Essence regions
  • Develop strategic relationships with key agency partners and be a point of escalation
  • Assist in deployment of Client Service practice trainings while ensuring best practices

A bit about yourself:

  • Enjoys negotiating strategically and has proven contract negotiation skills and able to manage the P&L.
  • The candidate should have exposure in Media or agency business with 16+ years of experience. 
  • Can foster strong, cohesive working with interdisciplinary teams 
  • Has a long history of forging strong relationships with clients
  • Has a proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar accounts with Fortune 500 clients
