Overview of job

MediaCom is looking for an experienced media professional with 8-10 years of experience who will be responsible for uncovering relevant, actionable insights and working with planning and content teams to create communication interventions, primarily for their core practice and other assigned brands.

The incumbent will closely monitor and interpret industry and consumer trends and competitive intelligence and then apply the insights to brand strategy and key brand initiatives.

Measures of success –

In three months,

  • Presented brand and plan strategies to key the clients handled
  • Understood the GroupM way of working and can navigate through the verticals

In six months,

  • Won client confidence through setting up process to ensure seamless delivery of services & solutions
  • Leverage GroupM internal teams to deliver best in class output

In 12 months,

  • Emerged as the go-to person both internally and for client for Strategy & Insights solutions.
  • Become proficient is escalation handling and resolve conflicts.
  • Successfully mastered the art of delivering award winning solutions for client

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Researches, analyses and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and effects of competitive activity may be minimized
  • Ability to evaluate market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising, product packaging and formulation to suggest changes in strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Communicates and embed learning to increase the impact of insights into action by making them relevant to the business strategy
  • Ability to conceptualize and institute consumer surveys
  • Makes compelling presentation skills – effectively present information to top management, marketing teams and public groups
  • Creation of impactful business communication (presentations, papers, etc.). Communicates complex ideas/insights in a way that all can understand and apply
  • Defines challenges, collect data, establish facts and draws conclusions
  • Use digital and non-digital communication solutions to create integrated plans
  • Familiarity with content as a marketing tool is desirable

  • Prior work experience in in the areas of Marketing, Brand Planning, Research, Consulting
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Able to design, implement, and analyze primary research with minimal supervision
  • Strong in both qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Radical thinking
  • Proactive and enthusiastic about creating pioneering work and award winning brand solution
  • Smart professional who can think on his/her feet

  • Any Graduate/PG (PG preferred)
