Overview of job

m/SIX is a part of Mindshare network and an agency of GroupM, world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally.

We are currently looking for a Senior Director – Strategy for m/SIX. In this role you will be managing client relationships and help drive strategic interventions. Candidate must be conversant with comms planning, marketing and brands, decoding consumer behaviors, audience sizing, media terminologies and in writing a strategy deck. The role demands working with tools like TGI, leading Channel strategies and ideation to yield better conversions. The candidate will also have a huge array of fast moving data to decode from the digital ecosystem (i.e. SimilarWeb, Google search, FB audience insights, etc.)

This is an active client facing role that is meant to shape thinking of the client on how media is deployed in the vast ecosystem of choices and in the fast-changing world that exists today. The strategy lead will be called upon to have strong POV on marketing/media best practices for brands in the post-COVID world. The role also calls for learning m/SIX, Mindshare and GroupM tools and practices – and bring them to life for the set of client brands he/she is working on. The personal will need to work closely with the business teams, hence needs strong interpersonal skills.

In this role, your goals will be:

In 3 months:

  • Meet key stakeholders across clients; including insights, creative agency – and interact with them
  • Get a good understanding of business/brand challenges, past campaigns, and competition
  • Initiate an audit of current strategy work, output and draw a roadmap
  • Learn syndicated and proprietary tools for insight mining and planning

In 6 months:

  • Build some path breaking strategies in the changing media space
  • Lead brain storming sessions with teams to develop some path breaking innovations
  • Become a go-to person for internal teams and client teams on strategic questions
  • Ensuring that m/SIX best practices – frameworks, tools, etc are well used as appropriate by internal teams and outputs included in client presentations
  • Work together with WPP partners, to create few visible differences on brands

In 12 months:

  • Lead new business pitches
  • Drive revenue growth and win a few awards for innovations

Minimum qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Years of experience; 8 – 10 years
  • Should have a keen interest in brands and marketing
  • Preferred exposure / Understanding of Digital, Data, Research/ Analytics
