Dashboard Engineer

Overview of role

As a Junior Dashboard Engineer at GroupM Nexus Global Team, you will play a crucial role within our Data and Technology department. Your responsibilities will span across project management, data specification, analysis, reporting & visualisation, integration, product knowledge, people management, department support, and personal development.

You will be expected to assist in managing day-to-day project requirements, troubleshoot data issues, contribute to insight-rich reporting, and communicate effectively with other departments. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about data, have a knack for project management, and possess a deep understanding of data visualisation.

You will support our GCP Engineers transforming and moulding data from a variety of sources, such as Google Analytics; Campaign Manager; Search Ads 360; and client data. This data will build the foundations for us to provide industry leading solutions to transform our clients marketing and media activity. You will also support our Data Scientist in answering more ad hoc queries, building statistical and machine learning models and designing data visualisations based on client-specific needs.

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

• Have a good understanding of our internal/client GCP architecture, the media data landscape, current reporting tools and process and projects the wider team are working on.

In six months, you would have:

• tarted a learning path towards a GCP certification
• Started developing new Reporting Tools and Dashboards
• Started working Closely with the GCP Data Engineers to shape and optimize the data you work with
• Started supporting our client and internal media teams with data requests and enquiries.

In 12 months, you will be:

• Supporting Senior members of the team with projects.
• Taken ownership of a few key internal process.
• Helping to develop the next generation of products/ and services
• Run internal training sessions to help upskill junior members of the team

Responsibilities of the role

• Assist in managing day-to-day project requirements, relationships, and quality of work delivered.
• Contribute to build visuallally enageing dashboard for our clients and work with Data Engineers to deliver.
• Assist in troubleshooting errors, proactively investigate potential solutions, and preempt possible data issues.
• Contribute to professional, insight-rich reporting, stretching outputs and insights.
• Communicate effectively with other MediaCom departments.
• Attend meetings with key stakeholders and relevant teams.
• Assist in resolving any inter-company issues, such as data errors & reporting issues.
• Build and maintain your personal profile and positive reputation within the business.
• Support other team members when required.
• Continue training and keeping up to date with the latest products and tech.
