Senior Director- Data & Tech

Overview of role 

Our UK team aspires to build an offshore hub in Bangalore to work alongside the UK team. We need an experienced MMM professional to build and lead the practice. Reporting to both the Delhi Hub Analytics lead and the UK Head of Data Science & Modelling, this is an exciting opportunity to set up and shape a market leading MMM unit.

 

We envisage the first 9 months will be focused largely on recruiting a team of c.15 MMM and Data Science professionals, of various levels, and establishing a cohesive team that are set up to work together as a unit, and smoothly with the UK team. There will be a big focus on training and processes to make the partnership work. Over this period, as the team grows, we will start to transition MMM projects across to the Delhi hub, but with dual responsibilities for delivery across both the hub and UK team.

Measures of success

 In three months, you would have:

  • Recruited the first 7 Analysts for the team as well as established a strong working relationship with the UK hub, understanding the ways of working and processes that will be required to ensure smooth future working

 

In six months, you would have:

  • Embedded the first 7 Analysts, training them on our ways of working and shaping them into a highly functioning team
  • Recruited the second cohort of 7 Analysts, to start within the second half of your first year
  • Successfully taken on your first projects from the UK, working smoothly with the UK team

 

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Embedded the second cohort of Analysts into the team
  • Established a growth plan for your second year

 

Responsibilities of the role

  • Recruit, train and develop a team of 15 MMM Analysts
  • Oversee the delivery of high quality, rich data, MMM work, working seamlessly with the UK team, specifically the data processing, modelling and insight creation parts of projects
  • Ensure work is produced efficiently and to the hours allocated
  • Support in the continued automation and process efficiency of all aspects of the project
  • Develop strong relationship and networks with our UK analytics team
  • Drive our ambitious agenda of product innovation

What you will need

  • At least 10 year’s hands on experience in Market Mix Modelling, with rich and complete data sets
  • Strong statistical knowledge and understanding in relevant techniques (OLS, Bayesian etc..)
  • Proven experience in managing and developing an analytical team
  • In-depth knowledge of media planning and marketing, especially in UK
  • Experience working with clients from a variety of sectors
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a large team of analysts
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects/clients
  • Expert in R (inc Shiny) and Excel
  • Strong commercial acumen – ability to work efficiently, with a focus on profitability
  • Keen attention to detail with a questioning mindset
  • Understanding of the UK marketplace for brands and media
  • Strong communication skills
