Overview of job

EssenceMediacom is looking for an experienced social media marketer, specializing in influencer marketing & branded content.

This will be a client-facing role, with senior level engagement and will include bringing a strategic perspective on role of content and influencers, best practices local and global and crafting a next level influencer playbook for the various products in client’s portfolio. An oversight on influencer & content campaigns will also be required to ensure that execution is in line with strategy.

This is a business role with revenue and client + team management responsibility.

  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience of driving branded content & influencer campaigns for blue-chip clients in India (global clients/global market understanding is a plus)
  • Have led a branded content & social media team at client/publisher/agency with demonstratable success on campaigns.
  • Strong reputation in industry for social media expertise (own social media followers, being a panelist at industry events, published works, awards won, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of influencer/creator eco-system across Meta/ YT/Sharechat/Moj, etc. especially in tech and lifestyle genres.
  • Excellent client servicing, communication & presentation skills

  1. You will be seen as the expert on social media practices, influencing the execution and long-term plans of the client related to content and influencers (responsible for type of content/influencer mix, difference by product categories, best use of formats, KPIs, post campaign analysis, etc.)
  2. You will suggest innovations and next level of influencer marketing – eg; social commerce and how to create a roadmap for client that can be executed.
  3. You will work closely with agency’s implementation team and see how the strategy has landed and course corrections needed.

  • Be fully immersed in brand story, audience understanding, cultural context & best campaigns in the competitive set – nationally and globally.
  • Developed rapport with senior client team and recognized for expertise on all things organic social and influencer.
  • Created an influencer roadmap for product sub-categories including all aspects of influencer planning (mix, genres, regional vs national vs international, formats and platform recommendations, budgets and measurement)
  • Proposed innovations in space of branded content and influencer marketing
  • Supervised 3-4 branded content & influencer campaigns, making an impact to business.
