Senior Property Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Property Accountant is involved in a variety of financial accounting, financial reporting and cash management activities. This role will complete all property reporting and will work closely with the Property Management team on the operating results of the properties and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Works with Treasury for billing, cash management and accounts payable
  • Assists with onsite Property Management teams in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tenant collections, and CAM reconciliations
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of existing and on-going projects, including budget to actual
  • Completes day-to-day accounting as well as monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
  • Performs account and bank reconciliations
  • Compiles information for external auditors, internal auditors, and external regulatory bodies
  • Performs other duties as requested


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of public/industry accounting experience; real estate industry experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and can multitask
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Advanced working knowledge of basic office and PC applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of property management related software a plus
