Job Summary

The Actuarial Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the actuarial department with a wide variety of mid-level actuarial processes to support strategic department goals.  

 Main Accountabilities

  • Perform analysis to support pricing or reserving practice area and solve ad hoc business problems
  • Assist in the development of actuarial pricing or reserving models; identify and suggest improvements
  • Build domain knowledge of commercial insurance and assigned practice area
  • Communicate results to actuarial leadership team
  • Collaborate with other actuaries, data scientists, and other team members
  • Pass actuarial exams

 Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related field
  • At least three actuarial exams
  • At least two years’ experience in an actuarial role

 

Preferred:

  • Commercial lines insurance reserving experience
  • Predictive modeling and programming skills
