Portfolio Manager

The Portfolio Manager is an individual contributor that will oversee and manage vendors and IT service agreements. Your vendor management responsibilities will be to improve vendor selection, provide cost savings, speed up vendor onboarding, strengthen vendor relationships, and provide vendor tracking and reporting. IT services responsibilities include workflow management, budget and funding reporting, delivery oversight, billing and fees tracking and release management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review vendors / services to ensure they align with business objectives
  • Vendor approval and onboarding management
  • Organize and track all documentation between the company and vendors
  • Portfolio reporting on vendors
  • Monitoring vendor performance against contractual scope of services and service level agreements
  • Resolve vendor disputes or issues quickly and efficiently
  • Cancel contracts with vendors that are no longer needed
  • Coordination of portfolio activities with IT, Legal, Compliance, Accounting and other Business Departments
  • Work with departments to identify budget impacts and forecasting expenses associated with vendors and IT services
  • Manage company IT agreements: licensing, software development, and services
  • IT software and services portfolio reporting

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Masters or advanced degree a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management; expertise in vendor management.
  • Solid understanding of information technology as well as experience with software licensing, hard procurement, and outsourcing (including offshore) agreements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in research, analysis, and data management.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
