Job Summary

The Agency Compliance Manager will be responsible for agent/agency onboarding and ensuring compliance with the regulatory/administrative tasks associated with management of those relationships.    The Agency Compliance Manager will handle contracts, appointments, renewals, and terminations.  The Agency Compliance Manager will produce reports on agent/agency production and performance, monthly commissions, etc.  and will work with a team to develop/maintain a section of company website dedicated to agents/agencies.

 Main Accountabilities

  • Handle all phone/email inquiries from agents/agencies seeking to do business with company
  • Maintain and enhance Agent/Agency Onboarding Process
  • Manage appointments/renewals/terminations
  • Maintain Appointment Tracker
  • Negotiate and manage agent/agency agreements including agreement renewals and terminations
  • Maintain Agency Agreement Status Report
  • Produce regular reports on agent/agency production and performance (number of submissions total, number of submissions that are quoted v. declined, number of quoted submissions that are bound, etc.)
  • Identify and implement strategy for agent/agencies that have little to no submission activity
  • Identify and implement strategy for agent/agencies that have high rate of submission declinations or a high rate of quoted business that is not bound
  • Perform monthly analysis of in-force policy report to ensure that all related agents/agencies are properly appointed with in-force agency agreements
  • Perform monthly commission analysis to ensure commissions paid are in accordance with in-force agency agreements
  • Work with internal company staff to develop and maintain a section of company website for agents/agencies
  • Document decisions in accordance with regulatory standards and company policy
  • Acts with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/request
  • Provides outstanding customer service by building effective working relationships with external customers and internal company staff
  • Effectively communicates with customers the appropriate level of information to ensure understanding of company direction

Qualifications

  • Organizational and analysis skills
  • 5+ years of experience with insurance agent and broker marketing and services
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • 5+ years insurance regulatory experience
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the insurance industry
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with customers and internal staff
  • Bachelor's Degree required
