Job Summary

The Statistical Data Reporting Analyst will support the statistical data reporting team and actuarial department with a wide variety of statistical reporting processes to ensure compliance.    

 

Main Accountabilities
  • Effectively extracts/collects, prepares and submits data to statistical data collection organizations such as National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), The Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB), and Insurance Services Office (ISO), etc., according to the timelines and requirements set forth in the various statistical data plans
  • Responds to edits, criticisms, and inquiries from the statistical organizations according to the timelines required
  • Assists in understanding data call requirements for regulatory agencies and state insurance departments. Extracts, prepares, and provides data required for regulatory reporting to the Compliance department
  • Assists in designing, developing, and implementing effective processes, reports, and other tools to report data and improve data quality
  • Participates in investigations and resolution of fines or inquiries from regulatory agencies and statistical data organizations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business or related field.  Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of Property and Casualty insurance industry experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial P&C insurance products and insurance department requirements and processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience with statistical plans, edit definitions, and submission processes highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with ISO, NCCI, and independent state bureaus and analysis of circulars, regulations, and statutes highly desirable.
