Job Summary

Group 1001 has an immediate need for an Indianapolis-based information technology analyst to support our expanding footprint. This role is part of the Enterprise Technology Services team and will report to the Director of IT.

The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst’s role is to work as a member of a team providing IT-related support to all Group 1001 affiliate companies, mainly in the area of file transfer implementations, maintenance and support. Primary responsibilities of this position are management of the Company’s MoveIT application and environment, creating and managing automation jobs, maintaining SSH client and PGP encryption keys, and writing and maintaining job scripts. Applicants must be proficient with basic to mid-tiered IT fundamentals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setup, maintenance and support of internal and external customer file transfer services
  • Maintaining file transfer services software (MoveIT) and ensuring files are flowing as expected (inbound and outbound)
  • Investigating job failures and performing necessary steps to resolve issues and communicate with internal and external users about service restoration
  • Integrating the enterprise managed file transfer system with other software platforms throughout the organization
  • Collaborating with project managers, other engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Developing documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as creating operational policies and procedures
  • Documenting best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation
  • Onboarding new vendors and setting up the accounts and credentials
  • Managing access control lists and conducting periodic entitlement reviews
  • Performing basic Windows Server administration, including checking server status, verifying services are running and maintaining IIS web server
  • Installing and/or upgrading of MoveIT Software as required
  • Researching and identifying products and toolsets to enhance productivity, stability and security
  • Working closely with managed service providers to ensure connectivity and effective operation of all services among third parties and Group 1001
  • Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing

Specific Technical Responsibilities

  • MoveIT Transfer:
    • Provision new user accounts using a point-and-click interface
    • Utilize reporting and audit logs to troubleshoot file and/or downstream environment issues
    • Produce monthly audit reports for multiple business units
  • MoveIT Automation:
    • Create and manage automation jobs for both internal and external customer file transfer solutions using a point-and-click interface
    • Maintain SSH Client Keys and PGP Encryption Keys for key partners
    • Define new Hosts: external SSH servers, internal Windows folders, and cloud data stores (SharePoint, Amazon S3 and others)
    • Write and maintain scripts in Visual Basic for Application and other languages capable of creating a command line application
    • Respond to and resolve failed jobs notifications
    • Reply to client questions about status of jobs and schedules
    • Identify opportunities and propose new automation jobs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred or direct/relevant experience
  • 5+ years of technology experience with IT infrastructure and/or application development
  • Ability to analyze and determine root cause of issues, interface with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Able to work in a team-oriented environment with other members of IT and other lines of business, and manage multiple individual tasks with little supervision
  • Experience interacting with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment

Technical Skills Required

  • Experience working with Windows Server/Client operating systems
  • Strong knowledge in standard File Transfer Protocols (HTTPS,HTTP,FTP,FTPS (-SSL - implicit/explicit)/ SFTP, including establishing, supporting and maintaining corporate-wide environments
  • Experience working with PowerShell or other object-oriented programming/scripting languages
  • Knowledge and experience with networking and systems architecture
  • Basic understanding of DNS
  • Apache, Java, Managed FTP, Network Architecture
  • Knowledge of security standards and methods (encryption keys, ciphers and TLS standards)
