Description

The Sr. /Research Associate Contractor will perform and develop various analytical tests to support testing of samples from process and the manufacturing groups.  The successful candidate will participate in the development, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods to QC or CRO.  This position will also participate in analytical characterization of drug substance and products including DNA, RNA and Lipid Nanoparticles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of analytical methods to support the panel of tests required for Gritstone’s products.
  • Execute analysis of samples to support development and characterization of biological therapeutics
  • Assist development, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods to QC and/or CDMO
  • Provide documentation and reports of all tests timely with high quality
  • Assist with lab investigations
  • Perform other duties of lab operations as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA in a scientific discipline with 2+/5+ years of Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry experience, with a primary focus on analytical development and testing preferred. Role will be determined based on experience.
  • Hands-on experiences in the development and optimization of one or more of the following areas is required:
    • Gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Agarose gel etc.
    • ELISAs, bioassays etc.
    • Analytical chemistry:  concentration by UV-Vis, A260/280 mesurément, pH, osmolality, endotoxin, particle size, etc.
  • Biologics experience preferred
  • Experience in analytical method qualification, validation, and technology transfer is desired
  • Knowledge of product and process development of biologics/vaccines preferred

Gritstone bio anticipates that the annual base salary for this position could range between $76,000 and $120,000. Compensation will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s credentials for the role, including education, qualifications, and type as well as length of experience. Any offered salary is also based on internal equity, internal position salary ranges, and market data. The salary range listed does not include any applicable bonuses or long-term incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Gritstone is a multistate employer and the salary offered will be market competitive. At Gritstone, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
