INTERN 1: AS&O – Ag Technology Internship Job Description
Summary/Objective
Responsible for field level execution of the Advanced Services Department’s Ag Technologies team customer offerings at the direction of a supervisor – including assisting with implementation of in-field ag technology solutions, data analytics/processing, assisting with retail location and grower customer adoption and engagement.
Responsible for field level execution of the Advanced Services Department’s Ag Technologies team customer offerings at the direction of a supervisor – including assisting with implementation of in-field ag technology solutions, data analytics/processing, assisting with retail location and grower customer adoption and engagement.
Essential Functions
- At the direction of supervisor, works with retail staff on implementation and growth of precision ag technologies using the AccuField platform
- Assists locations on using AccuField to add value to their business portfolio
- Works through locations to provide grower customers farm-level, ag technologies expertise
- Provides timely execution on directives and initiatives from Ag Technologies leadership
- Provides adequate and clear communication to growers, location staff, and Advanced Services team concerning job tasks, projects, execution, and timing
- Provides excellent customer service and support of AccuField
- Encourages collaboration and teamwork with GreenPoint Ag counterparts where applicable
- Represents GreenPoint Ag’s Advanced Services Team in a professional manner at all times
- Perform all other job functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Aptitude for continuous learning and growth as well as effective communication skills are imperative
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong agronomy technology and precision agriculture background preferred
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and creativity
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in AgGIS or GIS systems preferred
- Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-starter skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and/or projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Current driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in both indoor and outside work environments. Frequently exposed to extreme cold and hot temperatures, wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. The employee is also regularly required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Travel
Approximately 50% or greater
