Job Title: Delivery Specialist - Retail
Reports to: Store Manager

Our ideal Retail Delivery Specialist is an individual with exceptional customer service skills, is personable and friendly, and who enjoys road trips to help us deliver cannabis products to patients in Florida. This person will be a brand ambassador, capable of connecting with patients inside and outside of the retail locations. This position will require the ability to organize and pack orders, complete cash register sales, interact with patients, and maintain flexibility during delivery routes.

Responsibilities:
• Distribution of regulated products from retail store locations to patient delivery locations
• Experience with inventory control methods; ownership of patient orders before, during, and after the delivery transaction
• Follows all policies and procedures for secure product transport and manifesting
• Safeguards against product diversion; reports any known product and traffic incidents through proper protocols
• Follows all policies and procedures for patient transactions; maintains strict HIPPA compliance while handling patient data and information
• Adherence to all state regulations and traffic laws; follows safety and delivery best practices
• Strong attention to detail; care of packages and product during load and unload of vehicles
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Will be punctual and reliable to start of shift and delivery times
• Able to maintain agility to complete required tasks as determined by business needs
• Maintain alertness for long periods of time in vehicles; road trips up to 100 miles round trip
• Typical job duties, 75% patient deliveries, 25% facility work; retail store work included daily retail operations, customer service, and sales transactions
• Professional, presentable, and brand representative at all times, in the retail locations and out on delivery routes
• Maintains delivery vehicle in good working condition; must be kept clean and free of debris
• Utilizes and comfortable operating with route optimization and tracking devices; all delivery routes are preplanned for strict mapping and coordination efforts
• Proficient communication with patients through phone, text, or email messaging

Requirements:
• Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have at least 3 - 5 years of driving experience; strong knowledge of Florida roads and highways preferrable
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record; will be required to consent to routine MVR checks
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive Level II background check.
• Able to work weekends and holidays, as the business requires
• Ability to navigate technology and use different platforms, including delivery route mapping and patient transactions.

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, up to 6 hours at a time. At occasional times, the employee may be required to move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, cartons, products, or tools. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 30 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include daytime and nighttime vision requirements for driving. The mental and physical requirements described here represent those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.

Working Environment: 
Work is primarily performed outside the retail location. It will take place in a sedan-type vehicle on state and local interstate and highways. Weather, natural disasters, and atypical traffic should all be anticipated as expected hazards of the job requirements. At times, work will be performed in the retail store. The product is agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
