Jungle Boys operates in a high-security environment, with the safety and security of the company’s employees and facility being of the utmost priority and concern.  The Security Coordinator utilizes the key responsibilities enumerated below to create a safe environment for the cultivation facility and retail stores of medical cannabis and for the safety of all employees.
 
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Rotating weekly schedules: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Week 1) and 9:30 am – 6:00 pm (Week 2).
 
Requirements:
  • Overseeing surveillance systems for the cultivation facility and retail stores.
  • Reviewing incidents and providing video to managers/home office.
  • Daily visual checks of all the key areas of the cultivation and processing facility, focusing mainly on parking lots, employee common areas, exterior fencing, etc.
  • Report any major incident or investigation to the Head of Operations and Head of Cultivation
  • Document any investigation or incident electronically so that a record can be maintained.
  • Must strictly adhere to all facility guidelines and visitor policies, including safe-guarding employees and products.
  • Support the company Security SOPs (including Diversion and Visitor Plans) and send recommended revisions as needed.
  • Immediately report and mitigate, as needed, any unsafe situation at any facility and document the incident.
  • Investigate any reported accidents, thefts, property loss, or unlawful activities as required and occurring on company property.
  • Utilizing existing anti-diversion measures to ensure the safety and security of all cannabis, medical cannabis products, and employees.
  • Support the incoming/outgoing deliveries from the cultivation and processing facilities.
  • Must be good at facial recognition, name association, and maintaining relationships with all staff at the cultivation and processing facilities.
  • Maintain a professional and working relationship with city, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a professional and working relationship with the after-hours contracted guard company.
  • Be willing to perform additional security-related responsibilities.
Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Minimum of three years of security operations experience, including monitoring multiple CCTV at one time.
  • Must be able to use email, word processing, and internal phone systems.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be a highly organized person with an excellent working knowledge of security operations, and safety practices.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the technology related to data processing.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and watch digital screens.
  • Must be able to walk the exterior grounds of cultivation ad processing facilities every hour
  • Must be comfortable with confrontation, adversity, and questionable circumstances
  • Well-organized and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate complex information
  • Must be trustworthy and possess extreme discretion and confidentiality
  • Multitasker, with the ability to work on several tasks without losing focus

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate, and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls.
