Jungle Boys, FL is looking for an HR/People Manager – Production and Retail for our facility in Ocala, FL. If you are dedicated to great culture and working with a fantastic team in an exciting industry, then this is the role for you! We are a fast-growing company, and we are looking for a solid, business-focused HR/People Manager to join our HR team. This role plays a crucial part by supporting both production and retail teams with a variety of HR activities, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, development, succession planning, benefits, compliance, and more. We’re seeking a people partner who is passionate about promoting an awesome employee experience!
 
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Manage workers' compensation claims, FMLA, and benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
  • HR Expertise & Day-to-Day Support: Serve as the HR subject matter expert to all employees across all locations in Florida, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and employee support.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Production and Operations leadership, providing insights and support on HR-related matters to help achieve business objectives.
  • Employee Support & Relations: Offer guidance on benefits, employee relations, workplace investigations, labor relations, employee engagement, and compensation. Handle performance management, training, and development.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Work closely with teams to fulfill hiring needs. Open job requisitions, conduct interviews, extend offers, and oversee background checks and badging processes. Organize and conduct new employee orientations to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Policy Compliance & Communication: Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with state and federal laws, corporate policies, and business objectives. Communicate changes effectively across teams.
  • Performance Management: Provide guidance on coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions. Mentor and develop managers to build their leadership capabilities.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships across the organization, partnering with management to support team growth, scalability, and success in meeting business goals.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Organizational Development or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner experience; Hands-on business experience with 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience supporting a production, distribution, fast-paced, and complex work environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and coaching skills
  • Experience with a large population of hourly employees
  • Human resources and working knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety laws
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to plan and execute programs and projects, and manage day-to-day HR responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and confidently interface with all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Effective organization and planning skills as well as solid analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to keep up with proper documentation, filing, and follow up
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and be discrete with employee issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality while handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to analyze problems, exercise judgment, and make sound objective decisions
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in human resources operations, policies, processes, and procedures
 
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
