Our ideal Delivery Specialist is an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, a team player, and who enjoys long and short trips on the road to help us deliver cannabis products to licensed dispensaries in Florida. This position will require the ability to gather, load, and deliver supplies, materials, and products in accordance with company and customer needs and requirements.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Distribution of regulated products between distribution facilities, manufacturing facilities, and retail store facilities
  • Experience with inventory control methods; ownership of shipments during load in and load out of deliveries 
  • Safeguards against product diversion; reports any known product and traffic incidents through proper protocols
  • Follows all policies and procedures for secure product transport and manifesting
  • Adherence to all state regulations and traffic laws; follows safety and delivery best practices 
  • Strong attention to detail; care of packages and containers during load and unload of cargo 
  • Load and unload all delivery packages, up to 50 cartons at a time 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Will be punctual and reliable to start of shift and appointment times 
  • Able to maintain agility to complete required tasks as determined by business needs 
  • Maintain alertness for long periods of time in vehicles; road trips up to 600 miles round trip 
  • Typical job duties, 85% road travel, 15% facility work; facility work including storage facility audits, manufacturing product support, apparel inventory and distribution  
 
Requirements: 
  • Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age 
  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years of driving experience; strong knowledge of Florida roads and highways preferrable 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record; will be required to consent to routine MVR checks 
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive Level II background check. 
  • Able to work weekends and holidays, as the business requires 
  • Ability to operate machinery with valid equipment license is a plus, but not required

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, up to 6 hours at a time. At occasional times, the employee may be required to move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, cartons, products, or tools. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include daytime and nighttime vision requirements for driving. The mental and physical requirements described here represent those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
 
Working Environment:
Work is primarily performed outside the facility. It will take place in a cargo van on state and local interstate and highways. Weather, natural disasters, and atypical traffic should all be anticipated as expected hazards of the job requirements. At times, work will be performed in and around the manufacturing facility. The noise level in the manufacturing environment can range from low to high. Temperatures can range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The manufacturing facility requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
