Director of E-Commerce Platforms & Operations

Job Purpose
Responsible for owning, maintaining, and enhancing our B2C and B2B online sales platforms. This person will ensure that our platforms are capable of meeting the requirements of our tech-forward E-Commerce and digital marketing activities. This person will also be responsible for all new platform implementations and other E-Commerce related development projects including project management, testing, development operations, change management, and deployments. This person will work closely with the leaders of the other E-Commerce functions including Performance Marketing, Merchandising, and Digital Experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and manage our B2C E-Commerce platforms, hosted on Shopify and BigCommerce
- Maintain a strong understanding of platform capabilities and E-Commerce best practices
- Collaborate with IT to ensure integrations between E-Commerce systems and other enterprise platforms are functioning properly
- Project manage all E-Commerce implementations and improvement projects and deliver projects on-time and within budget
- Lead and facilitate proper development operations and change management processes including requirements documentation, testing, and code reviews.
- Facilitate UAT testing with users from the applicable functional groups
- Create and manage all reporting needed to manage the E-Commerce businesses
- Maintain functioning and up-to-date sandbox environments for each platform to support ongoing development efforts
- Manage the assignment and timely resolution of incoming requests from internal customers via our service desk portal
- Maintain our payment processing service providers in collaboration with the Finance team
- Monitor performance of all web platforms and ensure any issues are addressed promptly
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Data or Platform Management
- 5-7 years experience working in eCommerce with Shopify or a similar platform, in the consumer goods industry
- PMP or CSPO certification a plus
- Strong understanding of E-Commerce best practices related to technology and business
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and utilizing Shopify and BigCommerce platforms
- Experience working with and managing integrations between E-Commerce platforms and other enterprise business systems (such as ERP, inventory management, etc.)
- Experience managing projects involving internal and external resources, including overseas developers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present to senior leadership
- Self-starter and able to solve medium to complex problems
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong business, data analysis, and interpretation skills including website analytics and management reporting
