Job Purpose

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Reconciles credit card statements.
• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Review and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Download, prepare, tie and batch credit card deposits.
• Research and follow through with any discrepancies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• At least two years’ experience or related education or certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Netsuite, Microsoft Office, and accounting software.
• Exceptional process and time management skills.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Able to handle high volume in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
