Job Description

This role provides a unique opportunity for a digital professional with a strong technical content management background to help grow and manage our content publication team, serve as the content site admin, play an important role in helping to connect with customers, and grow digital organic traffic and revenue for the NAPA brand within Genuine Parts Company. This person will be a member of the Automotive Parts Group digital department and will serve a key role on the Content Publication Team. As a Manager of Content and Site Administration, this employee will manage a team of CMS website specialists, provide technical expertise, while make learning about and buying auto parts, tools and accessories an easy and fun process.   


Web Content Development

  • Executes functional testing, validation regarding content promotion rules and content
  • Develops within a WYSIWYG and plain text editors for authoring content
  • Collaborates with onsite and offshore teammates to plan efforts and ensure timely publication and accuracy of configurations
  • Provides technical support to content specialist


Application Web Configuration

  • Imports / exports large amount of content with ease
  • Develops and implements customer segments for content: loyalty, geography, store specific
  • Configures cart conditional logic for promotion rules and promotional badging


Product Configuration

  • Modifies large amounts of product data: promotion inclusion / promotion exclusion
  • Executes and develops excel macros, vlookups and pivot tables for product and promotional data
  • Manages all PIM configuration process for the publication team regarding promotion / content attributes


Project Management

  • Collaborates with peers across business units to gather clear requirements for marketing and promotional content
  • Manages, grooms, and prioritizes the content publication team’s technical debt backlog
  • Prioritizes content team’s intake



  • Scales up content publication team’s capabilities
  • Manages onsite and offshore content publication team
  • Manages and coordinates the needs of the team onsite / offshore to resolve blockers or issues
  • Handles content site migrations and platform upgrades
  • Develop subject matter expertise of NAPAs brands, product lines, and customers
  • Maintains knowledge of competitive landscape and digital innovations.
  • Effectively, consistently, and proactively communicate project and issue status
  • Help with the continuous improvement of the content production and publication processes


Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or other relevant area
  • 7+ years’ experience in managing content management systems
  • Season eCommerce content producer with experience managing a team of content authors
  • High level knowledge of content strategy and content creation processes including copywriting/editing and web production processes
  • Working knowledge of online marketing, advertising and ecommerce
  • 5+ years’ experience using an enterprise web-content publishing system (hybris preferred)
  • Expert in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and power user with excel and word
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and techniques.
  • Experience with SEO tools and plugins is a plus: Brightedge, SEMRush, RankMath GSC
  • Excellent task management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep up with a fast-paced content production process
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while working independently to manage multiple projects
  • Experience working with multi-language web sites (Spanish and French is a plus)
  • Relevant Experience / interest in cars or the automotive experience is a plus
