Motion Industries is seeking a PC LAN Analyst 2nd Shift to design, implement, and troubleshoot PC/LAN systems for all locations.  Provide integration and consulting services to all internal departments and systems. Responsibilities:

  • Must participate in established safety programs
  • Identify job hazards and ensure they are promptly reported and/or corrected
  • Maintain a safe work space
  • Provide excellent customer service that will enhance and support Company operations and sales
  • Must complete time critical assignments on time to meet company goals and customer deadlines
  • Understands potential to be required to be on-call on nights or weekends or work weekend and night shifts
  • Must complete projects on time and in line with company goals
  • Must comply with all Motion Industries Motion policy and procedures
  • Complete assigned tasks as assigned by the LAN/Server Manager
  • Install, configure and support LAN/Server environment (Windows Servers and Redhat servers)
  • Provide 2nd shift VMware administration and maintenance activities
  • Provide 2nd shift level 3 support for PCs, printers and scanners
  • Provide 2nd shift application support (Sterling B2B, webservers and other critical applications)
  • Support daily LAN/Server tasks (Backups, software updates, security updates etc)
  • Support for Australian based subsidiary
  • Support for contractor team based in India
  • Ensures compliance with Motion Industries’ Performance Standards, with proper recognition of investment for long-term growth
  • Recommends products as required and in accordance with Motion polices
  • None
  • Interacts with other Company locations/departments, IT employees, and suppliers to resolve any IT related problems
  • Attend in house training and become proficient on new technologies
  • Attend external training when approved by the company 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years experience with installation and administration of Windows servers, Redhat servers and LAN administration
  • 3-4 years experience with an Enterprise class VMware installation (patch/maintenance processes, administration and troubleshooting)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and wide area network
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of IBM mainframe and AS/400 operating systems
  • Knowledge of communications concepts and technologies
