Global Contract Compliance Manager

The Global Contract Compliance Manager leads the Global Contract Compliance group of Motion Industries.  The Manager reports to the Director of Global Compliance and has open access to Finance executive management.  The Manager owns the development of the strategy, people, processes and technology to enable achieving the vision for Global Contract Compliance.  

Principal responsibilities are to assist the Director of Global Compliance with establishing processes, policies, and procedures that achieve the objectives of Global Contract Compliance.  The Manager will oversee the execution of customer contract audit procedures and proactive customer contract reviews to ensure testing is objective and accurate.  The Manager will interact with various levels of management for communication of audit progress, root cause analyses, proactive review results, and process improvement opportunities in order to drive a high level of compliance to Motion’s customer contract obligations.   This role will serve as a key customer contract compliance contact for Motion associates company-wide.

Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Mentor, coach and evaluate the Global Contract Compliance team
  • Set goals and related priorities; develop team members
  • Establish and monitor appropriate employee performance objectives, introduce best practices and process improvements
  • Develop the Global Contract Compliance department to provide the knowledge, skills, and experience to meet organizational needs

Operational Support

  • Lead the Corporate Compliance function to achieve the objectives of an annual Corporate Account customer risk assessment plan, contract compliance process reviews, and contract compliance testing program
  • Establish processes, policies, and procedures that achieve organizational objectives and ensure testing is executed objectively and with a focus on process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with executive and field management regarding audit progress, developments, and process improvements
  • Lead strategic initiatives focusing on Motion’s compliance to customer contracts

Finance Support

  • Coordinate compliance testing approach, scope, and timeline with Corporate Account Managers; serve as a liaison between external auditors and internal process owners
  • Provide oversight of testing procedures, including evaluation of criteria to be tested, identification of key issues, and in-depth analysis of data and other evidence
  • Partner with Corporate Account leadership in developing and/or improving the processes and documentation of contract customer business
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned by Finance leadership

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience leading people
  • Progressive experience in public accounting, consulting, and compliance
