Job Description

The Analyst assists the Director of Risk Management with gathering and presenting information for insurance renewals, helping assure those renewals are properly executed by the broker, helping to assure the success of a newly launched driver camera program and overseeing property claims.

The position is responsible for assuring the data in the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) is accurate and is being properly and timely maintained.  The Analyst will support the Director of Risk Management in gathering information and properly classifying expenses related to monthly accounting requirements and other projects as needed.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Developing and running meaningful loss reports, analyzing trends
  • Maintaining insurance exposure data, becoming the expert on new RMIS modules
  • Assisting with actuaries to substantiate loss picks/reserves
  • Coordinating deductible billings to the field
  • Verifying deductible payments to TPA’s
  • Coordinating property loss prevention, recovery and claims
  • Identifying proper data sources for gathering, tracking and summarizing insurance renewal data
  • Generating reports and tracking premiums related to monopolistic states WC policies
  • Working with IT to coordinate data population within a Risk Management Info System (RMIS)
  • Working with the RMIS to enhance the utility of the system
  • Coordinating the issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Assisting with Bond issuance
  • Helping measure the impact of loss prevention efforts such as a new Driver Camera program

 

 Skills/Abilities/Experience

  • Competent in use of Excel including production of meaningful graphs, charts
  • Comfortable mining data
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously; flexible
  • Able to work independently to determine project requirements, identify proper resources and follow tasks through to completion
  • Communicate effectively including project status, perceived priorities and outcomes
  • Able to meet challenging deadlines
  • Experience with actuarial calculations preferred
  • Experience supervising employees a plus

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with information analysis
  • Degree in or minimum two years’ experience in Risk Management/Insurance preferred
  • Experience with Ventiv’s Risk Console RMIS preferred
