SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the Credit Support Manager is responsible for managing a group of employees responsible for day-to-day execution of the company’s global credit processes including researching credit history, applying acceptable credit lines, and recommending payment terms for new and existing customers. The Credit Support Manager will work under the Director of Credit Management to execute the company strategy utilizing world class credit management techniques to manage and control the company’s credit risk. The Credit Support Manager will manage and continuously improve processes, manage, and develop staff.

JOB DUTIES

• Responsible for the implementation, and delivery of strategies for the organization as it relates to customer credit management.
• Responsible for overseeing systems for the credit management function, including such activities as the collection of personal/business data for customer analysis.
• Oversees a high volume of work and reports on outstanding balances, makes timely credit decisions and evaluates customer credit limits based on risk.
• Responsible for the continuous training and development of the Credit Department’s staff.
• Maintains financial information, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with policies.
• Assists with third party collection agencies and integration of the credit process with acquisitions.
• Negotiates with customers on AR related payment issues when necessary.
• Manages and monitors bankruptcy proceedings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related discipline and five (5) or more years of relatable experience at a large corporation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel including, but not limited to V look up, pivot tables, charts, graphs and tables.
• Excellent proficiency in databases and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of organization.
• Knowledgeable of the latest advancements in automated processes that will improve efficiency and eliminate manual processes.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects.
• Professional and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
