DIRECTOR – BRANCH OPERATIONS SUPPORT & HELP DESK

We are looking for a seasoned industrial distribution professional to lead the Motion Industries Operations Support Group. This leader will understand what it is to provide world class service to a large multinational distribution business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of distribution finance including P&L and inventory valuation. The Director will serve as the leading user representative working with various corporate departments to achieve the best results as our business evolves. 

Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment of teamwork
  • Assist department managers in recruiting and the development of skilled team members
  • Ensure all team members follow company Policies and Procedures and provide instructions to internal customers that will encourage them to do the same
  • Interface with various corporate departments as needed with a particular emphasis on Finance and IT
  • Provide direction to department managers
  • Ensure strategic alignment of departments with company Strategic Plan
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of field management
  • Equip department managers to effectively manage resource allocations
  • Maximize service to internal customers within a responsibly managed budget
  • Seek improvement through statistical analysis 

Qualifications

  • Proven ability as a customer service manager in a fast paced environment
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience successfully leading a team of customer service agents (preferably in a multiple location environment)
  • Strong understanding of operational principles including inventory management, transactional processes, cash management, financial management, etc.
  • Strong understanding of company and departmental goals and objectives
  • Familiarity with industrial distribution supply chain
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Able to present to an executive audience
  • Exceptional leadership skills with an emphasis on mentoring department managers
  • Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to present ideas to audiences of varied levels of experience
  • Effective PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP system project deployment
  • BS in business related discipline or equivalent experience
