Job summary

The Data Scientist will be a key player supporting the Supply Chain Analytics team.  Based in Atlanta, this role will develop analytics to improve supply chain visibility and decision making.  The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of competency in IBM systems including SPSS and supporting data sources and program languages.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Partner with IT to source, cleanse, and warehouse large and complex data sets.
  • Generate insights for the different business teams using data engineering skills, ultimately driving model construction, validation, and deployment
  • Create accurate, sustainable statistical algorithms using AI and ML predictive/prescriptive models
  • Leverage Qlik and/or PowerBI to democratize solution and maximize benefit to business

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics, data science solutions with a strong data modeling skillset
  • 1+ years in a supply chain analytics role or equivalent understanding of supply chain
  • Advanced knowledge of data science concepts/methodologies and experience working with large, un-structured data
  • Proven ability to balance a workload of varying projects
  • Strong verbal/written communication

Desired Skillsets

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R programming languages at scale
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and the Power Platform such as Databricks, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure ML, Power Automate, Powerapps, etc
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Environments
  • Experience with Data Robot preferred but not required
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques (regression, classification, clustering, and other advanced ML techniques)
  • Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Qlik or Power BI
