SUMMARY


This position will work with supplier partners and cross-functional teams to return / rebalance / remove excess inventory from the Motion Industries supply chain. In order to be successful in this role, the analyst will need to have an innate ability to overcome obstacles and build relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside of the organization. In addition, the analyst will need to have advanced analytical skills that identify hidden opportunities within the data for continuous process improvement. Furthermore, the position requires critical project management skills ensuring professionally managed projects with optimal results. Finally, the Reverse Logistics Analysts work as a team to ensure Motion Industries achieves its inventory objectives regarding returning, rebalancing and disposing of excess inventory.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

  • Work with supplier partners to fulfill return / disposition agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed (Inventory Control, DC, Purchasing, Accounting, etc.)
  • Continuously analyze ways to maintain supply-chain efficiency and minimize cost for inventory returns / rebalancing / disposition efforts
  • Develop / maintain accurate monthly reporting for leadership review
  • Perform excess inventory analysis as needed
  • Build / maintain record of reverse logistics procedures
  • Work on special inventory related projects as needed
  • Coordinate with IT department and serve as a QA agent for reverse logistics programs
  • Seek continuous improvement for existing / future reverse logistics processes

 

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year college degree in business or related field required
  • 5+ years project management experience required
  • 5+ years industrial distribution experience a plus
  • Sales, purchasing and / or negotiation experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft applications knowledge (MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power Bi)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, MS Power Bi, etc. a plus
  • Ability to interpret data into information and create intuitive reports
  • Great organizational and follow-up skills
  • Capable of working independently (Self-starter / self-motivated)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong Multi-tasking and time-management skills
